Chapter 6
“No way am I going to have a wedding for a contract marriage. What would people think! You got engaged recently to Zeeva, and you are going to wed me in three days. Are you insane? Even if I’m as crazy as you, who plans a wedding in three days??
I could hear her heavy breathing over the phone, and that made me slightly nervous, afraid she was upset, which might affect the pup
It was strange for me to care about anyone’s emotions except Zeeva’s, but upon hearing that I was going to be a father, my natural protective instincts were on high alert, When I requested her to give me back my semen, abortion was never my intention.
There was just something in me that wanted my pup close to me that I couldn’t let her stay away, coupled with the fact that even if Zeeva and I had a child, the first would still be the heir and was whom Lama Lovette was carrying in her womb,
“Look. I need you at my pack for the pup to be protected, I informed her, forgetting that she was a fierce Luna. Her response was a great reminder
“I’m very well protected at my pack, and you don’t tell me what to do.”
This was not going to be easy. It was unheard of for an Alpha to get married to a woman who was already a Luna in her pack.
The right way was for a she wolf to become a Luna by getting married or mated to an Alpha. The level of complication in this matter forced me to
make some considerations
“Okay. Let’s hold off on the wedding. I will see you in three days.”
Strangely, she rejected my visit. “Please don’t come to my pack. Let’s meet at the werewolf tribunal. This was the first time any she–wolf rejected my presence.
Others, including Zeeva, would be so thrilled: they would want me to even remain in their pack, but Luna Lovene was such a handful, making me wonder how our relationship as a married couple would be
“If you are so scared of seeing me, then what will happen after the wedding! We can’t live separately.” I hinted, but it was still a matter of major
CONCEEL
I can’t leave my pack to stay at hers, and vice versa. Why did she have to be a fucken Luna! In situations like this, I could not help physically and mentally weak like my Zeeva
“You are right. Let’s give ourselves time to think about this. I will call you when I’m ready.”
but wish she was
She was eager to end the call, but I was not prepared to be left in the loop or away from my pup in her belly until whenever she would claim to be ready. Then I remembered that I had a piece of uncleared baggage.
These three days would be equally needed by me to end things with Zeeva. “You can’t do that, Jaquar growled at my thought, but what choice did I
have?
If you can’t think of a better way to secure our pup, then please shut up.
I was getting irritated by the whole thing, and Jaguar’s sudden silence only meant that he indeed did not have any solution
“I will save your number, and if I don’t hear from you in three days, I will come to your pack,” I tried to threaten her, which worked because she lied Lying was a sign of fear, and I was amazed that she had it in her.
This
my number,”
“You are lying to me,” I directly exposed her, explaining further. “Special numbers are only reserved for those in authority. Not even your beta can have this number.”
can it is on you
because
I have a woman I love.
Before she said something to complicate matters again, I continued. “Look, this is harder on me than and yes, I’m going to break up with her.”
As usual, she seemed to be the woman with all the solutions in the world, quickly giving me of
one.
“You don’t have to Just be transparent with her. Who knows, she might get pregnant on your wedding night.”“”
If he was tricking me to get Zeeva pregnant so she could have my heir for herself, then she was dreaming and needed to wake up sooner.
“But your pup will still be older than hers. The older is the heir

I could not help but scoff at her admitting to the greatest complication in the whole matter.
“Then think carefully because if I win this challenge of yours, then he’s going to take charge of my pack. If you add your pack responsibility to him or her, then I’m indirectly taking over your pack too.”
I hated to take advantage of her, but that was the truth of the matter. A lot of leaders complained that I was manipulative, but that was a recipe for survival.
“I hate you,” she yelled on the phone for the first time. I felt her rage, and that made me slightly embittered.
I wasn’t expecting her to love me, but hatred was equally a strong opposition. I could not help the response and the final word that slipped out of
την mouth
“So do L. See you in three days, Luna Hatred.”
The call ended abruptly I felt strangely pained, not knowing why she and Zeeva were driving me insane, but I had to go home to think of the best way before seeing Zeeva tomorrow.
Yet, there was my beta, waiting eagerly to know the outcome of the sour meeting. Raul looked tired. I hoped nothing terrible happened in my absence.
“You look like I’m feeling.” I took off my coat. He smiled, but it was forced. “I feel like I’m looking. How did it go?”
1 lowered myself into my recliner before responding to him. “She’s tougher than she looks, and she proposed paying for my pup.”
That is unacceptable,” Raul said. I smiled weakly, glad we were on the same page. I proposed paying her to be my surrogate, but she refused. We both desperately want the pup, so Im going to marry her
The look of shock on his face was expected. “What about Zerva? What would everyone think? The pack members already fell in love with her, and you two are already engaged.”
I didn’t have to be reminded about all that. “I know, but if you were in my position, would you choose your fiancée or your pup**
“My pup, of course. Unless it involved my destined mate.”
The issue of a destined mate was something I did not want to talk about. “So,
water. I have been on a no–alcohol challenge for forty days and today happens to be my last.
o, what happened in my absence?” I asked after he poured me a glass of
I took the glass of water from him, gulping it down while he gave a rundown of the events of the pack in my absence.
“Well, your leaving was abrupt, so everyone was curious. I informed them you had urgent business to take care of and also told the doctors not to leak any information to the park members,” he revealed. I was glad but still not surprised.
Raul was a very proactive beta, but his next words got me strangely nervous.
