Chapter 22
Alpha Kodak’s POV
I was delighted to hear my pack members speak highly of Luna Loverte, as it reflected positively on both of our packs. However, the mention of the mate bond dampened the mood
At sixteen, a werewolf seer told me that I would never find my destined mate and should seek love and a special bond based on strong affection rather than destiny. I believed that bond was with Zeera, but now, with the arrival of my pup, I must accept that she may not be the one
Explaining this to my pack was challenging. “Zeevs is not my destined mate. I simply had a strong connection with her until I met Luna Lovette.” 1 quickly noticed the shock in her eyes, wondering what she was thinking and if she had forgotten that our relationship was just a facade. Nevertheless, I continued speaking. “What we have is unlike anything I’ve experienced before, and we’ve shared experiences that I never had with Zeeva I explained, trying to emphasize the authenticity of our relationship.
Luna Lovette was the first and only she–wolf to enter my bedroom. It happened on her first visit, possibly due to my injury at the time, and it seemed that it would continue that way. How could I ask her to sleep in a separate room on her next visit when she was carrying my pup?
The news of the pup would only be revealed a month after the wedding.
“Alpha, we hope there won’t be another she wolf after Luna Lovette. Introducing a new she wolf and then bringing in another would be confusing It could shake our faith in having a good Luna,” another pack member expressed
Seeing Luna Lovette tense up, I gently held her hand, our eyes meeting. It was evident that neither of us wanted this situation, but it was necessary for our pup
What puzzled me was that I didn’t feel irritated being close to her like I did with other she–wolves. Perhaps it was due to the presence of my pup.
I’m starting to like her, Jaguar admitted. I knew he wasn’t talking about Luna Lovette but our pup.
“Don’t confuse the two. All you see is our pup, I warned him. I couldn’t reveal to my pack that not being with Luna Lovette was inevitable at some point, so I chose to prepare them for the future.

I was relieved to see their understanding and renewed confidence, with applause filling the ali
“Welcome, Luna Lovette. Please stay good,” a she–wolf chimed in, prompting. “Shouldn’t Luna Lovette say something? We should hear her voice. right?”
It wasn’t part of the plan for her to address my pack, and I couldn’t help feeling htwinge of jealousy and fear that she might win over my pack
members.
It was a difficult decision to contemplate parting ways, but when I saw her tense up, I knick I had to act. Without permission, my hand from hers, wrapped it around her waist, and pulled her closer.
This simple gesture heightened the excitement as I whispered softly in her ear, urging her to say something nice.
“It won’t be right to not say something. Anything nice will be good.”
1, I gently disentangled
Unexpectedly, she spoke our slogan, showing a quick grasp of our ways. “Silent Claar pack,” she said confidently, earning my admiration.
Despite her gentle appearance, I knew she possessed inner strength, and her graceful handling of the pack reinforced the importance of having
The park members responded enthusiastically, echoung her words with the same energy they showed towards me.
In her address, she humbly acknowledged her role as more of a mother figure than a traditional Lum, emphasizing her commitment to unity among all members, regardless of status.
“Tam honored to be here today and to be welcomed by all of you. While I may not have my own pups yet, I see each of you as part of my extended farbily. Let us stand together as equal, united in purpose and strength”

“Yes, and I hope things go well with your elders too.”
Her expression changed at the mention of her elders, indicating it might not be a pleasant encounter.
The drive to her pack was quiet, but midway through the journey, I heard the sound of rogues. It was unusual as rogues typically avoided the highway.
Before I could fully comprehend the situation, they started emerging in large mumbers, blocking the road with their rotten presence.
These rogues were notorious for theft. murder, and even cannibalism. Their presence in this part of the community was unexpected and alarming-
This road led to the silver pack and then to other packs, but there was an alternate route to reach those packs, making this road often deserted.
“Take the wheel and drive off. I’ll handle them on my own. I instructed Luna Lovette, but she refused.
“We fight together”
She seemed to have forgotten her condition, so I reminded her. “You’re the one carrying our pup. Please protect him or her.”
A strange expression crossed her face when I mentioned this. “What if you don’t make it! These rogues are ruthless and dangerous. We’re only twenty minutes away from my pack. Let me call for some backup.”
was taken aback by her concern. Wouldn’t it benefit her if I didn’t survive, considering her eagerness to keep our pup for herself!
There was no time for banter, so I quickly began stripping off my clothes to prevent them from getting torn during the shift.
“It’s urgent. I’m about to shift, so please keep my clothes in order,” I instructed her firmly. I couldn’t bear the thought of wearing crumpled
garments.
“Drive away and return for me. I urged, sensing her hesitation, but she reluctantly agreed; a worried expression in her eyes.
“Finc
As I removed my shoes and pants, then my undershirt. I heard her gasp. “Oh my, what happened to your back!”
Oh no, of all times for her to see my scars.
