Chapter 6 I Need Something From You
If Sienna had been just an ordinary person, Eleanor would have only needed to collect the evidence.
But Sienna was the only daughter of the Sullivan family.
Sullivan Group’s industries spread across the nation, on par in strength with McKenzie Corporation. Its reputation was widespread, and its connections vast.
Eleanor had once thought that Sienna was as pure and kind as the rumors suggested, but she never expected her to be so ruthless, willing to toy with lives even in times of peace.
Thinking of how Margaret’s death had been so mysterious, a chill ran through her body, from her toes to the top of her head, and her eyes grew
red.
Seeing her so distressed, Ethan couldn’t help but feel bad too.
If Eleanor were really his sister, then she had suffered too much over the years.
Thinking this, his tone softened. “You can start by telling me what you want.”
Eleanor parted her lips, suppressing the hatred. “I want her to face legal consequences. An eye for an eye.”
Ethan nodded, unsurprised. “If you want to bring Sienna down, you’ll first have to take down the Sullivan family.”
The Sullivan family had wealth and power. Even if Sienna were imprisoned, they could find a way to reduce her sentence.
“We have a cooperation with the Sullivan Group right now. If it goes through, Sullivan Group won’t have to worry about its revenue for the next three years. How about I help you sabotage this deal?” he proposed.
He crossed his arms, leaning against a nearby tree, looking at her lazily.
“And what can I do for you, Mr. Ethan?”
Ethan was offering such a tempting proposal, so of course, she had to pay the price.
“I just need something from you,” he said, his bright eyes focusing on the back of her head. “Your hair tie.”
What kind of request is that?
Eleanor was stunned for a moment, but before she could react, Ethan was already making his move.
His actions were swift, and Eleanor felt a sharp pain on her scalp as the hair tie was removed.
He held it up to the light, inspecting it, his eyes narrowing slightly. His features were striking, almost more stunning than those of a top celebrity, with a wild charm that made him all the more captivating.
His appearance was so bold, no wonder he had the reputation of being a flirt.
Eleanor felt uneasy.
“That’s all you want? A hair tie?”
She couldn’t believe this was Ethan’s request.
“Mm.” Ethan gave it one last look, making sure of something before his lips curved into a mischievous smile. “It’s not entirely for you.”
Just because of what Sienna had said in the bar last time, Ethan intended to teach her a lesson.
As for the hair tie with some of her hair in it, he planned to run a DNA test.
His suspicion grew deeper, and he figured it would be better to eliminate any doubt.
Watching him act so strangely, Eleanor’s heart was pounding. She realized once again that Ethan wasn’t taking this seriously.

Bringing down the Sullivan family? Maybe it’s just a game to him.
She should never have trusted Ethan’s words in the first place. Why would all?

Eleanor politely said goodbye to him, not bothering to ask when he would ruin the cooperation, because she didn’t believe Ethan would really help her.
Watching her leave, Ethan thought of following her, but then stopped when he remembered the hair tie in his pocket.
What mattered most now was using her hair for a DNA test.
He would soon find out if Eleanor was his sister.
“She actually gave her hair
Ethan. Does she and Ethan…”
At the villa door, Sienna looked at Gabriel, a little surprised.
Gabriel frowned, his dark eyes like a black vortex, making it impossible to read his emotions.
“I’ll take you back.”
He stepped forward, and Sienna quickly followed.
Eleanor had cheated during their marriage…
Sienna had been wondering how to deal with her, and now Eleanor had handed her the perfect opportunity.
Sienna quickly typed a message on her phone, sending the explosive news to the city’s largest media outlet.
The next day, Eleanor went to the hospital where Margaret had lived.
She hoped to find more evidence.
But she didn’t expect to run into an old acquaintance at the door.
It was Sienna.
Watching her sneak into a doctor’s office, Eleanor had an idea and instinctively followed her.
“Did you handle the matter from last time?” Sienna’s voice was anxious and tense in the room.
“Don’t worry, I’ll keep this secret for you.” The man’s voice was gentle and steady, delicate and lingering.
Eleanor’s heart skipped a beat. She narrowed her eyes, slowly moved closer, and just then, a sharp gaze came toward her.
She lifted her head slightly and met someone’s deep gaze.
Gabriel, dressed in casual clothes, hands casually in his pockets, his thin, cool lips pressed tight, lazily watched her, his facial features looking gentle yet harboring a coldness.
She didn’t know when he had arrived, or how much he had seen.
“Mr. McKenzie,” she said, her smile full of charm.
Gabriel said nothing.
Unlike her usual obedient appearance, today she dressed provocatively, a strapless dress above her knees, paired with a small cardigan that cinched at her waist, outlining an alluring curve, dazzlingly beautiful.
Her eyes instinctively fell on her hair tie, which was not the one Ethan had taken.
He stepped forward, lowering his voice. “Eleanor, we need to talk.”

Talk? He hasn’t truly looked at me, for three years of marriage, and now he suddenly wants to talk?
Eleanor laughed, not sure whether she was laughing at her three years of effort or at her own foolishness.
In the coffee shop
from the hospital’s downstairs.
Gabriel had intended to ask about her relationship with Ethan, but recalling his past decision to let her go with his grand statement, he swallowed the words, and they turned into, “Sienna is someone you can’t offend.”
“Are you warning me?”
It sounded like a threat. Eleanor bitterly smiled, her eyes reddening.
She couldn’t afford to offend Sienna, because behind Sienna, there was not only the Sullivan Group, but also Gabriel himself.
Thinking of what had happened yesterday, Gabriel slowly furrowed his brow. “Sienna’s family is collecting evidence of your defamation.”
“Defamation?” Eleanor’s eyes reddened, staring at him fiercely. “My grandma was killed by her!”
“You have no evidence.”
“I will find it,” she smirked, her smile not reaching her eyes. “Before the Sullivan family kills me, I will kill her first.”
“Then it depends on whether you have the ability.”
Gabriel’s voice was cold, like a steel knife, piercing deep into her heart.
For a moment, Eleanor felt her nose block, and before the tears could gather, she bit her lip hard.
“Gabriel, Grandma was nice to you.” Her heart trembled violently. “Can you promise me not to intervene in my matter with Sienna?”
Eleanor looked at him with hope.
It was already hard enough to take on the entire Sullivan Group alone, but if Gabriel joined in, there would be no chance. But as long as Gabriel was willing to stand aside, it would be the biggest help to her.
Under her hopeful gaze, Gabriel slowly turned his eyes away.
“Sorry.”
Sorry… Does this mean he will protect Sienna no matter what?
As expected, their bond of three years was ultimately wasted.
Her husband, the person she had once deeply cared about, had become the enemy’s support.
“It’s okay,” Eleanor smiled. She pinched her thigh hard, forcing back the tears in her eyes. “Sienna’s life is really good.”
Despite committing heinous deeds, so many people were protecting her, including her own husband.
Gabriel thought she would give up, but instead, it only fueled her determination.
He didn’t want to see this version of Eleanor, withdrawn and obsessive, so different from the obedient person she used to be.
“Gabriel, from today on, you are also my enemy.”
Enemy…
That word was harsh.
Gabriel’s narrow, deep eyes narrowed further, and a strange restlessness stirred in his heart. “If I’m your enemy, what about Ethan?”
