Chapter 28 Please Help Me
Chadwick certainly knew how to destroy a person.
When a woman lost her self–esteem and pride, she became a puppet, easily manipulated.
Watching the men approach her, Eleanor clenched her fists, pressing her tongue against the roof of her mouth, slowly retreating a few steps.
A car sped toward the villa from a distance, its engine roaring.
Sienna sat in the car, her fingers gripping the steering wheel, her foot pressing the accelerator to the max.
The trees outside the window flew by in a blur, the wheels spinning quickly.
Her mind raced as well.
She knew her dad’s methods well. Though dirty, they were effective.
The women destroyed by him never spoke out. Instead, they begged him to keep their secrets..
But thinking about Gabriel’s promise, Sienna just wanted to save Eleanor quickly.
Only then would Gabriel feel secure enough to marry her.
If something happened to Eleanor, Gabriel might never divorce.
She understood herself, and she understood Gabriel.
Eleanor held a place in Gabriel’s heart.
What she had to do was eliminate this threat before Gabriel found out.
“Eleanor, please don’t get hurt.”
After Ethan couldn’t find Eleanor and failed to reach her by phone, he drove back.
On the way, he received a call.
Looking at the caller ID, he saw it was Gabriel.
Ethan raised an eyebrow and answered without hesitation.
“What a rare call from you, Mr. McKenzie. I didn’t expect you to call me.”
Over the years, Gabriel had rarely called him.
Gabriel wasn’t in the mood for small talk, speaking coldly, “Eleanor is in danger.”
“What did you say?”
Ethan slammed on the brakes, quickly pulling over to the side.
“What happened? What’s wrong with her?”
Ethan’s urgent tone caused Gabriel to press his lips together, but this wasn’t the time to argue over that.
The assistant had traced Eleanor’s whereabouts, confirming that she had been taken by Chadwick.
He wasn’t worried if anyone else had taken Eleanor, but Chadwick was a different matter. He was deranged and capable of anything. Although Sienna had tried to stop him, Gabriel still couldn’t shake his unease.
Ethan suddenly came to mind.

He hadn’t expected to have to rely on his wife’s “lover” for help.
Gabriel sneered, his voice as cold as if it had come from an ice cellar. “She was taken by Chadwick. I’m in the hospital, the doctor won’t let me leave. I don’t trust anyone else, so this has to be up to you. Please help me and go save her.”
These serious words made Ethan’s blood boil.
“Leave it to me? Save Eleanor? Who the hell is her husband here?”
Ethan was furious, demanding people trace Chadwick’s whereabouts while he yelled at Gabriel.
“Are you so far gone that you can’t move? Gabriel, even if your legs are broken, you should crawl over to save her!”
Without waiting for a reply, Ethan angrily hung up.
Gabriel really couldn’t be trusted. His wife was in trouble, and he was asking another man for help.
Next time, he would have to advise Eleanor to divorce that man as soon as possible.
In the hospital, Gabriel watched the doctor who had just finished his checkup leave, then looked indifferently out the window.
After asking the doctor whether he could leave, the doctor seemed to know what he was thinking, coming in to check on him every five minutes.
If he wanted to leave, he had to take advantage of those five minutes.
Fortunately, the floor wasn’t high, only the second floor, and there was a tree nearby, with a staircase below.
When the doctor came in again, he found the room empty.
The doctor, his face darkened, asked the nurse guarding the door outside, “Where’s the patient from Room 66?”
“Is he not in there? I didn’t see anyone come out.”
