As I scrolled through the comments, they were all supportive. Some even tagged Bella to come take a look. I clicked on Bella’s profile and saw she had also posted a clarification.

I scrolled down further. The top comment was from Lucas:
“First, Ms. White should reflect on how these rumors started. Second, we are not close!”
Lucas actually said he wasn’t close with Bella?
I clearly remember hearing that Lucas had an ideal lover, and he had been depressed for quite a while when Bella went abroad.

When we got married, Bella somehow got my Snapchat and sent a nauseating congratulatory message, telling me to take good care of Lucas.

I was about to fire back when Lucas walked out of the bathroom, a towel loosely wrapped around his waist. Droplets of water trailed from his Adam’s apple down his chest and abs before disappearing into the towel.
I gulped, suddenly struck by an idea.
As soon as Lucas got close, I pounced on him.
“So eager… ouch.”
Before he could finish speaking, I bit down on his collarbone.
“What are you up to, you little minx?”
Lucas didn’t push me away, holding me with one arm as I left my mark. I peppered his neck with kisses before nodding in satisfaction. “Take a couple photos with me.”
Half an hour later, I was editing the freshly taken photos. They showed a shirtless man with chiseled abs, love bites on his neck, holding a petite woman in his arms.
Timmediately posted it to Instagram.

“Done posting?” Lucas suddenly asked.
I nodded, not understanding his meaning.
He immediately pinned me down.
“Then it’s my turn!”
Before I could react, his lips were on my neck.

He was on the phone but immediately hung up, staring intently at my belly. “You’re saying… you might be pregnant?”
“How should I know?” I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. “Just looking at you is making me angry.”
