Three or four people entered, striding confidently into the hospital corridor.}
The man who had spoken–tall, athletic, and imposing–was none other than Archie, my best friend.”
And beside him…
He was holding Onie on a leash.
All eyes turned to them as they approached.
When Onie saw me, he barked excitedly and broke free, sprinting straight into my arms.
I knelt down immediately, arms wide open.
The moment I felt his familiar warmth, I couldn’t hold back my tears.
Onie wagged his tail wildly, letting out joyful whines, and once again raised his rear in that same stubborn little protest.” I kissed him gently on the forehead.§
“Have you been okay?” he asked.
I nodded as he looked at me, then he respectfully greeted both my parents and the Garza family elders.
The moment my mother saw him, her face lit up as though she was finally seeing a lifeline.}
“Archie, you’re Martin’s best friend. You know him better than anyone,”
he give up his own child just because a dog lifted its butt?!“}
Archie gave her a gentle smile, then shook his head.
“Auntie,” he said calmly, “Onie isn’t just any dog. Martin raised him from perfectly reasonable?”
The room fell into stunned silence.§
Casey’s friends, who had just arrived, stared in disbelief.
“What? Giving up marriage for a dog is reasonable?” one of them gasped.
mother pleaded. “Please talk some sense into him. How could

Sabrina fumed, her chest heaving. “He’s not giving it up for the dog–he’s giving it up just because it lifted its butt! And now he’s forcing Casey to abort the baby? And you think that’s normal?”
She narrowed her eyes at Archie.
“Tell us the truth–did you put him up to this?“}
“You’re always going on about how you’re some kind of pet communicator,‘ how you can read their emotions, understand their thoughts. Did you brainwash Martin into thinking the dog was talking to him?”
Her voice sent a wave of murmurs through the crowd.
“A pet psychic? What kind of scam is that?”
“Worst best friend‘ I’ve ever seen–he’s clearly misleading Martin. Probably jealous and trying to sabotage the wedding.”
“Exactly. This guy needs to wake up. He’s being manipulated!”
Ther: Sabrina pulled out a thick stack of photographs and flung them into the air.
The photos fluttered down around us–each one showing Archie following Casey.
“You have nothing to say now, do you?” she snapped.
“You told Martin not to marry her, but secretly you’ve been stalking Casey. Don’t tell me this wasn’t your plan all along!”
My mother’s face darkened. She pointed a trembling finger at Archie.
“So this is the truth you were so eager to defend? Don’t tell me you’ve been eyeing Casey all along–whispering lies into my son’s ears, hoping he’d break up with her so you could swoop in and take your chance?!”
But Archie only let out a soft chuckle, as if he’d heard a ridiculous joke.
“No,” he said, eyes gleaming with calm certainty. “I followed her because she’s not who you think she is.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Sabrina snapped. “Casey follows Martin around like a loyal little puppy, and never leaves his side! She’s practically perfect–what could be wrong with her?!”
She rushed to Casey’s side and shielded her protectively behind her back.
“You’re disgusting,” she shouted. “Even if your own intentions are dirty, how dare you slander her like that?!”
The crowd erupted again, this time in a tidal wave of outrage toward Archie.
“Accusing someone without proof is easy. Her friend has photos of you stalking her–what do you have?”
“Yeah, you can’t just make wild claims! Where’s your evidence?“}
“Liar! You’re just making things up!”
As the voices grew louder, and more aggressive, I stepped forward, standing shoulder–to–shoulder with Archie. My voice cut through the noise, low but steady.”
“I’ve known Archie for over twenty years. I know what kind of man he is. He would never be interested in my girlfriend. He didn’t make me call off the wedding–I did that on my own.”
“So please–stop meddling in my life.“{\
