As Victor dragged me toward the operating room, a long trail of blood was dragged out in the corridor.
He and Eline locked me in the operating room, the tools on the shelves gleaming coldly.
Eline put on the gloves slowly and said to me with a smile, “Chill, Grace. Though I’ve never practiced, I’m sure operating on you is a piece of cake.
“All I have to do is cut your belly open.”
Tears streamed down my face as I clutched her hand and begged through gritted teeth, my voice hoarse, “Eline, I know you and Victor love each other.
“I promise I won’t stand in your way, and I’ve never thought of giving birth to his baby.
“Please… Call Catherine. I’ll tell her now that I want a divorce with Victor…”
Eline blinked. When the call connected, she noticed the hope in my eyes and immediately hung up.

Victor tied my limbs to the operating table. Meanwhile, standing at the foot of the table, Eline raised her hand to show me the cold tool in her
hand.
