Two days later, Leon was finally discharged from the pack hospital, still recovering from the physical and emotional wounds Monica had left
behind.
Back at the Jenkins family estate, the once–elegant living room was a storm of designer luggage and spilled luxury–Monica’s belongings scattered.
Monica, dressed in a body–hugging dress and teetering on stilettos, clung to Alpha Floyd’s arm, her manicured nails digging into his skin like a desperate she–wolf clawing for survival.
“Floyd, please! You can’t do this to me!” Her voice trembled with desperation, eyes wide with panic and regret. “We’ve known each other
for twenty years. We’re fated mates. You’re really for twenty years. W
going to let something like this ruin us?”
Floyd’s eyes narrowed. He yanked his arm free. with enough force to make her stumble back.
“Something like this?” he growled, his voice. dropping into that Alpha register that made every creature in the room instinctively lower their heads. “You call abusing my children a

He pulled out his phone and tapped the screen. A video began to play on the giant television
above the hearth.
There she was–Monica–pinching little Yolanda’s thigh with vicious strength. The pup trembled in silence, her pain stifled by fear, her
tears spilling wordlessly.
Floyd didn’t give her time to speak. He swiped. to the next clip.
Monica, in a cocktail dress, was calmly stirring sleeping pills into the children’s milk.
“All so you could make it to a party,” Floyd said darkly. “You drugged my pups just to get rid of them early.”
Monica went pale, her carefully painted lips trembling. “You… you were watching me? You
never trusted me?”
“I was protecting my den,” Floyd snapped, his voice laced with fury. “Not everything in this house was ever yours to destroy.”
Just then, a maid rushed in from the hallway, nearly tripping over her own feet. She looked

terrified, but the fire in her eyes said she’d been holding this back for far too long.
“Alpha Floyd!” she blurted. “I need to speak.”
She pointed straight at Monica, shaking with
emotion. “Since she came into this house, she’s
been turning the pups against their mother. Planting lies. Feeding poison.”
“Lies!” Monica barked. “You jealous little-”
“I’m not lying!” the maid shouted back, voice cracking. “She only ever gave them toys or sweets when Luna wasn’t around. She told the
young master, ‘Your mother doesn’t let you have candy because she doesn’t love you.“”
The room stilled.
“She even told them,” the maid continued, “that if they wanted her to stay forever, they had to get rid of Luna Jillian. That’s why–why the young master pushed her down the stairs.”
Floyd’s face was stone, but his aura grew darker by the second.
“Play the footage,” he said to the butler, hist voice like ice sharpening to a blade.

The screen flickered again.
This time, it showed Leon and Yolanda at the top of the staircase. Jillian stood facing them, calm and unaware. In a horrifying second, the children shoved her. She tumbled backward-
limbs flailing, head hitting the steps.
And in the background, Monica stood watching it all… smiling.
There wasn’t a sound in the room.
Then came a small cry. “Daddy…”
Yolanda bolted down the stairs and flew into
Alpha Floyd’s arms, her tiny frame trembling as sobs wracked her body.
“We’re sorry! We want Mommy back!”
Leon followed, eyes red and swollen. “Monica Auntie said… said Mommy didn’t want us anymore. Is that true?”
Monica scoffed from the side, her voice cold.

“Of course it’s true. Your mother abandoned

you. She’s probably in another male’s arms by
now.”
She turned to Floyd with a cruel smile. “And
you still don’t get it, do you? That document you signed that day? It wasn’t a deed–it was Jillian’s divorce agreement. She gave it to you herself. You and she… are already completely
divorced.”
“You’re the one who drove her away.”
SLAP.
The sound cracked through the air.
Monica’s head snapped to the side. Alpha Floyd’s hand hovered in the air, still trembling- not from regret, but from restrained rage.
His wolf surged just beneath the surface, barely
held in check.
“Throw her out,” he said to the butler, his
voice as cold and final as a death sentence.
“Everything I ever bought her–every piece of jewelry, every stitch of clothing–not a single
item leaves this house.”
Monica staggered, her hand pressed to her

cheek, her face twisted with shock. “Floyd! Are you out of your mind? You’d do this to me–for
that yellow–faced bitch-?”
“Shut up.” Floyd’s command exploded like a clap of thunder.
“Say one more word,” he growled, eyes glowing with Alpha fire, “and I’ll make sure you never serve in any pack again–not in this city, not anywhere within these territories.”
Monica froze.
Monica froze.
And in that moment, she realized the truth.
She had tried to take over the Alpha’s home.
But she had forgotten one thing.
No wolf–no Luna–harms the Alpha’s pups and walks away unscathed.
