Zeeva’s POV
After Kody refused to listen to my father, who had made the journey to see him, I lost all hope.
Kody respected my father a lot, but I couldn’t blame him for what we did to him. It was easy for him to move on, but what about me!
The wedding was scheduled for the next day, and I had run out of options when a miracle call arrived.
It was none other than Alpha Jephthah, and he asked if we could meet. I thought he had an interest in me, as I had heard rumors about the death of his human mate.
We met at a restaurant that was convenient for both of us and after emptying a bottle of whisky, he laid his claim.
“Lovette is mine, but she’s getting married tomorrow. We have to stop her.”
I felt a blend of emotions inside of me. He didn’t want me but rather the same woman who stole my man. Yes, his proposal gave me hope. We could. both have the partners we wanted.

I missed my Kody, and I wanted him back so much that it hurt my soul to see him walking the aisle to wait for another she–wolf who was not me.
The maid of honor arrived, and I remembered seeing her at Laina Lovette’s pack. She was so beautiful, but that was when the unexpected happened.
Beta Scout rushed over to meet her halfway, and they both acknowledged being mates. I saw pain in Raul and Alpha Kodak’s eyes, and I knew why. They knew Beta Scout was not loyal.
Everything changed when Luna Lovette arrived, looking all glamorous and beautiful I was hating her so much, especially when all the sweet comments were being thrown at her.
I was uneasy when the officiating minister began the show without Mason’s arrival, but thank goodness he did before the exchange of vows.

I lied to Alpha Kodak back then that my mate rejected me and moved to another park.
