Everything was going well, especially during my first dance with Luna Lovette. However, being the vigilant Alpha that I am, my eyes roamed around, observing everything that was happening
Trusting people at large events like weddings is risky, so it was better for me to stay

I dropped subtle hints, hoping she would uncover the truth on her own. If she did and still chose to be with Beta Scout, then I would respect her decision.

I smiled at her analysis. It was true. If two people had lost their destined mates before meeting thein, they might consider their second–chance mates as destined ones.

There were gazes on us, but I didn’t want the music to stop. Holding her like this brought a kind of peace I never knew existed.

Everyone was surprised, but I soon understood her reason for not wanting to toss the bouquet.
She didn’t want the bouquet to fall into the wrong hands, so she walked over to where Embry was standing beside Raul and handed it to her.
“I truly wish you all the happiness in the world, Embry” She embraced her best friend tightly as applause filled the air

As we left the venue, we spotted Cassius conversing with a few warriors and she–wolves from the Silver pack.
I hoped to hear positive news about his mate, and I couldn’t understand why leaders often struggled the most to find their mates.
“Would you like to go to a resort or something?” I inquired of Lovette, but she was no longer pretending. Our seamless coordination had come to a. cod.
“There’s no need for pretense now. If anyone asks, I could say that exploring your pack was just as enjoyable as any honeymoon destination.”
I understood her perspective, and I knew she was correct, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of sadness at her decision. My pack members who stayed behind had a different form of celebration planned, and I had a feeling Haul had organized it before leaving.
Rose petals lined the path from the gates to the pack house, and the toddlers in the pack were dressed as flower girls, standing in line to continue throwing more rose petals on our path.
We had to get out of the car and walk to the pack house from the gate to enjoy their surprise.
“Welcome, Alpha and Luna, they chanted as we walked hand in hand through the rose–petaled aisle they had created for us. It looked like a red carpet, and I was amazed when Lavelle carried one of the flower girls with a boy in her arms.

Raul once again surprised me with his thoughtfulness. It made me desire his happiness even more.
