Chapter 52
Beta Scout’s POV
I knew I was wrong for cheating on my mate, but with she wolves constantly pursuing me, I foolishly expected Embry to view my apology as a compliment,
However, to my dismay, she didn’t, proving to be more resistant than I had anticipated.
At the party, I noticed how at case she was with Beta Raul, which made me uneasy, especially
ecially when I saw her kiss him
A part of me felt like it died, but then she offered me the opportunity to accept her rejection, which I refused because I knew I wouldn’t find andther she–wolf like her.
I never anticipated this wild side of her, but I realized it was a result of my actions hurting her.
She believed that threatening me with Beta Raul would deter me, but it only empowered me to express what I truly felt.
“Beta Raul, 1, can see your love for her in your eyes, but her bond is with me. She will never be yours,” I said to Beta Raul, earning a fit of visible anger in his eyes.
now.
It was blended with pain, and I knew that if not for his Alpha, I would have been in need of assistance by n
Beta Raul was formidable, undoubtedly due to his Alpha’s influence. Even Alpha Mason wouldn’t have accepted me as the beta if I weren’t a distant relative of the Alpha. Since he wasn’t born an Alpha, he didn’t have a choice.
“Beta Scout, you are so proud and unregretful I just feel sorry for the way Embry shed tears for you. I don’t think you are worth it,” he said calmly as if acknowledging his feelings for Embry and also pointing out my faults
I regretted bringing this up in front of Embry because even if she didn’t see Beta Raul that way, she might start to have ideas.
“I love my mate, and I would do whatever it takes to win her back,” I said seriously. He laughed.
“If that’s the case, then why don’t you try? A man without principles can never love a woman right. Beta Scout, what are your principles concerning the mate bond?” he asked, making me feel exposed.
Beta Raul’s words captured the attention of everyone present, and they hung on them as if it were their last breath so I decided to apologize.
“I made a mistake, but I will never accept her rejection,” I stated firmly
However, Embry spoke, and I wished she hadn’t. I never truly understood the concept of waiting for a mate until she explained it to me.
The idea of waiting for one’s mate was a sacrifice I had never made, and the hews that she was going to mate with someone else shattered me
“Beta Scout, a mistake is something unintentional, but what you did was intentional. While I forgive you as a person, I cannot bring myself to accept you because I will never be able to trust you”
Her words cut deep, and I knew she was right. It was best for me to respect her rejection as a man. However, I noticed a smirk forming on Raul’s lips.
Beta
“Okay, I admit that it was intentional. I was just trying to celebrate my bachelor days for the last time,” I said, hoping this explanation would soften her heart. Inucad, it seemed to only worsen the situation.
“In that case, allow me to also celebrate my spinster days. You didn’t save yourself for me, so let me experience the pain of being discarded by another, just as you discarded the other unmuted she–wolves. Remember, their mates are out there and will eventually And them,” she continued, her words weighing heavily on me.
For what you have done, you do not deserve my sacrifice of saving myself for you as my mate,” she said seriously, my heart sunk.
These emotions were foreign to me, as I lud always believed th wing fun with she wolves was enough as long as my mate was unaware
Please, Lipbrý, give me a chance to make things right I can dunge,” I pleaded, tears streaming down my face.
The wright of my actions wrighed heavily on me, and I deeply regretted them. “If only memories could be erased, I would take you back. But sering you with those she–wolves, intertwined and naked, I’m truly sorry,” she said calmly
My hope dwindled as it seemed she had made up her mind. Sull, I couldn’t bear to let her go. Perhaps I needed to give her time to think things through. They say time beals all wounds.
“1 will do better, Embry I won’t lour you I won’t accept your rejection, even if it breaks me. Her gaze digued as I refused to accept her rejection, and Beta Raul appeared upset as well.

However, I remained firm in my decision. I acknowledged my bad habit and was determined to change.
“In that case, I will join this pack and share Beta Raul’s room. You know the rest,” she said, but I sensed she was trying to intimidate me into accepting the rejection.
Embry was a kind woman and wouldn’t turn bitter because of an unworthy mate like me.
“You’re too
100 good for that, Embry. Please don’t follow my path.” I pleaded, but it seemed that each word I uttered only made things wone
“Of course, I won’t be like you. I’ve heard that Beta Raul has been rejected twice and has the right to choose his mate. I don’t believe he would break my heart like you did.” she retorted.
Before I could respond, Beta Raul interjected, further complicating the situation. I’m surprised you know me so well, and even though you share bond with him, I will still marry you if you agree to it,” he said.
I saw the surprise in Embry’s eyes, confirming she didn’t mean her words.
“You both are trying to manipulate me, but it won’t work. I won’t accept your rejection and will wait as long as it takes,” I said, storming out of the Silent Claw pack.
The drive back to my pack was the most depressing I had ever felt, especially when the pack members were still excited about meeting Embry
How did it go?” Alpha Mason asked. I couldn’t look him in the eyes as I explained everything to him.
After listening to my story, Alpha Mason let out a long sigh. “You should be prepared to address the pack tomorrow and explain why Embry won’t be here as expected,” he said.
My heart broke with each word he spoke. No, please give it time. I will go back to see her in a week. I insisted
“If you say so, Alpha Mason replied, but to my dismay, Embry never allowed me into her pack no matter how many times I tried.
Both the Silent Claw pack and the Silver pack security had refused me entry unless I accepted her rejection but I wasn’t going to give in. I would fight till my last breath.
Upon reflection. I immediately knew who to contact. However, it appeared that my Alpha was also yearning for Laina Lovette due to their shared bond.
Consequently, when he chose to visit her pack, I accompanied him, unaware of what awaited us
