Chapter 62
Melissa froze the moment she realized the person beneath her was Bradley. Her mind went completely blank, and she couldn’t move a muscle.
Soon, Melisa felt his throat shift under her lips, and it was like an electric shock coursed through her body, leaving her weak and tingly. In her panic, she turned her face away quickly, her cheeks burning
Bradley lay on the couch, his hands gripping her waist instinctively. His deep voice, still laced with the haze of sleep, came out low and groggy. “Sleepwalking, are you?” he asked.
Melissa was so mortified she wanted to vanish. She tried to get up, her hand pushing forward for support unconsciously, only to land on Bradley’s chest squarely. It was her first time touching a man’s chest, and it was shockingly firm.
At that moment. Melissa’s head felt like it was full of static, her face redder than ever. She pulled her hand away hurriedly, but as she did, her
balance shifted.
Then Mélissa fell right back into Bradley’s arms. They were once again pressed tightly against each other,
The room ves pitch black, their breaths mingling, warm air brushing across exposed skin, amplifying the tension.
It was Melissa’s first time being so physically close to à man, especially one with such an impeccable physique. Now, her head was chaotic and Jutterly out of control.
Melissa could only be grateful the lights were off. If Bradley saw her now, he’d ridicule her undoubtedly and issue another warning not to get any ideas
Sure enough, Bradley spoke. “Are you planning to stay here, or have you developed a taste for this?” His hands left her waist, and ha voice grew much sharper, as if he were fully awake now
There was no denying Bradley was the epitome of male perfection, including wealthy, attractive, with a killer body and a voice to match. Being this close, what woman wouldn’t start imagining things?
While Melissa was thoroughly disillusioned with men on an emotional level, physically speaking, Bradley was undeniably captivating
Shaking her head as if to dispel the inappropriate thoughts, Melissa scrambled to get off him. Clearing her throat awkwardly, she tried to break the tension. “Why are you sleeping on the couch she asked tentatively.
Bradley sat up slowly, adjusting his clothes as he replied, “Where sleep is none of your business. What are you doing wandering around in the middle of the night?”
Melissa’s heartbeat gradually slowed. “Getting a drink of water, she replied calmly.
Then Bradley got up, switched on the lights, and glanced at Melissa’s overly tushed cheeks. His brow furrowed slightly.
Mortified, Melissa avoided his gaze, leaning down to grab the cup from the coffee table before heading to the kitchen to pour some water quickly.
Meanwhile, Bradley turned and walked into the guest room without another word
Watching the door close behind him, Melissa let out a long breath. She took small sips of water, her fingers brushing her lips unconsciously.
1 kissed Bradley just now. And he hasn’t thrown me out the window for such an offense. At the very least, he must be a decent–man, Melissa thought.
When Melissa recalled the sensation from earlier, her cheeks grew warm again. She had always thought the most attractive part of a man was his
Moreover, Melina hadn’t realized how firm it would feel, or how it would move when toliched,
A Berling irruge passed through Melissa’s mind. It felt oddly familiar, azhough this wasn’t the first time she had kissed a man’s throat And that time, it seemed much more passionate.
But the mcuvery was too hary to grasp, vanishing before Melissa could make sense of it. It felt both vivid and unreal, like a dream she couldn’t fully
Frowrung slightly. Melissa woodered, ‘Could I have dreamed about something like that?‘ After a while, she finished her water, returned to her room, and thor the door to sleep
The next morning when the two crossed path, Melissa’s discomfort was evident. She avoided eye contact and kept her head down the entire time.
