That afternoon, Mia took leave from her teacher and secretly made her way to Culturein Street to find her cousin.
Winifred was bored out of her mind, twirling her little black snake around her fingers, when she happened to overhear someone mention a familiar name–Amber Han
She paused, slipped behind a utility pole, and quietly listened in on the conversation.
“That’s her photo. Remember her face. After school, go up to her and shout that she’s your girlfriend–make a scene, then humiliate and scare her with your words. Got it?” Mis ordered, her tone cold and vicious.
The guy snapped his fingers, a sly grin spreading across his face. “Relax. But we agreed on three thousand–give me two grand up front, or I’m not lifting a finger”
