Chapter 167
Reno hurriedly said, “Ms. Winifred Hart, Miss Enna will be fine. She has plenty of people with her. Let’s go back now.”
The rain was getting heavier, and catching a cold now would be bad news.
Once they got in the car, the two sisters kept sneezing nonstop. “Ms. Winifred Hart, Ms. Amber Hart, let us take you to the hospital first,” Reno said Winifred insisted, “No! I’m going with you to find her. The determination in her eyes left Lana at a loss for words–she really didn’t know refuse her. But Winifred was already hurt, and what she needed most right now was medical attention.

“Ms. Winifred Hart, I’m sorry.
you need to go to the hospital for your injuries. This is Miss Enna’s arrangement, and we can’t go against it,” Lana
But Winifred’s mind was racing with worries. Any uncertainty could send her spiraling, and she just couldn’t take that risk. The fact that there was no news from Sienna probably meant she was safe.
“Let me out of the car! I’ll go by myself, Winifred gritted her teeth. The pain in her body wasn’t enough to stop her.
Lana lowered her head. “I’m sorry. Ms. Winifred Hart, but you can’t take us on. We’re almost at the hospital. I swear on my life, Miss Enna will be just fine
The pouring rain shrouded the world in darkness, not a single ray of light to be found.
That was exactly how Winifred and Amber felt inside–their hearts just as lost and hopeless as the world outside.
They made it to the hospital safely. Lana reminded Reno to keep a close watch on Winifred, then headed back herself to look for Sienna.
Winifred’s legs were all bandaged up now. She glanced over at Amber, who was dozing off on the hospital bed, and, unable to hold back her frustration, pave the bed a hard kirk
“Hey! What the heck are you doing” Amber yelped, totally freaked out
Seeing Amber act like she didn’t care at all, Winifred just got even angrier.
“Seriously, do you even care! Do you know how dangerous things are for her right now? We haven’t heard a single thing, and you’re just lying here sleeping like it’s no big deal,” Winifred snapped.
Amber instantly felt wronged, tears springing to her eyes.
Big teardrops rolled down her checks, her feverish little face flushed red–she looked both adorable and completely innocent.
“How can you say I don’t care about her? I’ve called her fifty times and sent thirty messages, and she hasn’t answered once. How can you accuse me of just lying here sleeping! She’s my sister! I just want her to be okay,” Amber wailed.
Her sobs grew even louder, practically deafening as they echoed through the empty hospital room.
Winifred quickly covered her ears, realizing she’d totally misjudged this little troublemaker:
Shut up! W
! What’s with; all the crying? Do you think crying’s gonna fix anything?” Winifred snapped.
Amber stared at her blankly for a second, then started crying even louder. “I can cry whenever I feel like it! I’m just so worried about my sister- what’s it got to do with you? She’s not your sister anyway.”
“Hey Winifred clenched her fists, feeling like there was a huge rock weighing down on her chest, She wanted to shout back at this little brat so badly
She’s not my sister she’s also… Winifred thought.
Maybe Amber’s crying was contagious, so Winifred suddenly felt like crying as well. She grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, trying to distract herself from the anxiety.
A purce of news caught her attention Breaking news: “There’s just been a car accident on Mount Nonton. The female driver of a Maybach was pipoounced dead at the scene, and her body has now been transported to the hospital.]
As soon as Wunified saw the news, she leapt out of led and dashed out of the ward. Amber, not knowing what was going on, hurried after her. Their sudden escape startled the bodyguards and Reno. “After them Reno barked, and they rushed to catch up.
Windred’s heart pounded wildly in her chest–everything else faded away, leaving only the sound of her own breath and the frantic beating of her heart
