In my past life, I had a unique healing ability. One time, while gathering herbs deep in the mountains, I found a dying tiger cub, who turned out to be Blair. I used my powers to save him, but accidentally dropped a Roffe clan token.
Years later, Blair returned to the Roffes to repay me by becoming a beast servant. But he mistook Maisie, who had stolen my beast bone, for me.

Not wanting to say more, I turned and started walking away, but Blair let out a sudden cry.
Kaelen jumped in front of me to shield me, but all Blair did was raise his claws and dig them into his own skull.
As he died, his eyes never stopped looking in my direction.
After all, I had been his master in a past life, so seeing him take his life right in front of me shook me deeply.
But Kaelen was having none of it. He pulled me around roughly to face him.
“Stop looking at him! After everything he did to you, he got what he deserved!”

The next day, someone completely unexpected showed up.
Maisie was draped in a sheer gown, kneeling softly in front of Kaelen. Her fair skin peeked out beneath the fabric, and her voice was gentle and sweet.
“Mr. Deep, please save me. I’ll do anything, whatever you want. Just please help me.”
She looked up as she spoke, her eyes shimmering. Even I had to admit, she really did have some charm.
Unfortunately for her, Kaelen had absolutely no appreciation for that sort of thing.
The moment he saw her, all he could think about was the torture he had endured during his previous trial because
of her.
So he kicked her hard, sending her flying.
“Get lost! How dare you ask me to save you! You killed me once, you selfish witch!”
As Maisie hit the ground, coughing up blood, I couldn’t help but remind her, “Don’t you recognize him? He’s Dusty, the fox you said died after you played with him a little.”
Maisie’s eyes went wide in shock. Her expression twisted into something almost grotesque, and then she ran off like she’d seen a ghost.
The next time I heard about her, she had thrown herself at the Beast King, claiming that I was the one who had killed his son, not her.
And with Justin backing up her story, I’d suddenly become the number one enemy of all beastkin.
