“Your work?” Zachary sneered. “So what? You can just do it again.
With that, Zachary made up his mind. The others pulled the bold technician aside, signaling her to stop speaking.
I glanced over at the technician. She seemed like a sweet–looking young woman who was just starting out in her career.
After about an hour or so, they managed to cut open a large hole in the tank, and the foul–smelling water poured out in a gush
Zachary frowned deeply. His face clouded with displeasure as he watched the water in the tank drain, yet still saw no sign of
- me.
Nina, standing beside him, was quick to throw accusations at me. “Zac, I think Sarah doesn’t want to see us. Otherwise, how
could she just disappear like this? I think you’ve spoiled her too much. That’s why she feels so entitled, thinking you can’t
live without her.”
In the past, whenever Zachary heard these words, he would immediately grow disgusted with me and distance himself even
further.
But now, seeing the empty tank, he began to feel uneasy.
Nina’s eyes flickered with resentment, and she arrogantly continued, “Zac, I think Sarah is hiding on purpose. She probably wants us to come looking for her.
“Why don’t I check the tank myself? After all, Sarah has always been good at swimming. Maybe she’s hiding in there, refusing to come out.”
Nina casually suggested this, but Zachary believed her. He nodded, saying, “Go ahead and take a look.”

“What?” Nina thought she had misunderstood.
Zachary raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t you going? Go in and check. After all, Sarah owes you an apology. And since the two of
you will be living together from now on, you need to settle things amongst yourselves.”
