Chapter 1
Ashlee Spencer was the true heiress of the Spencers, yet they never came to her until the adopted girl got into trouble.
Then, they colluded to send Ashlee to

prison.
Her eldest brother, Efrain Spencer, pulled some strings.
Her second brother, Alfred Spencer, stood in court and testified against her.
Her third brother, Clayton Spencer, manipulated public opinion.
Her fourth brother, Trevon Spencer, tricked her into pleading guilty, promising they’d help her escape punishment afterward.
Ashlee believed him, foolishly waiting for him to fulfill that promise.
However, all she got in the end was a pair of cold handcuffs.
The day she was sent to prison, she cried out in agony, “Dad, Mom, I’m your flesh and blood!
“I endured beatings and suffering in Sanaa’s place for over a decade–yet you still love her more than me?”
Hearing her complaint, her parents turned livid.
“Ashlee! Sanaa is your sister–the precious child we raised for more than ten years!
“The hospital switched you two by mistake. It wasn’t her fault! She never wanted this either. How can you be so petty?
“Sanaa is different from you. She’s so outstanding, and we can’t let her future be tainted.”
Efrain said, “Now you could finally do something for our family.”
Alfred added, “You’ll only lose two years of your freedom. But if you don’t help, Sanaa will lose her promising future!” Clayton scoffed, “Sanaa didn’t do it on purpose. Taking the fall won’t kill you.”
Trevon sneered, “Ashlee, it’s your honor to take the blame for Sanaa.”
Everyone despised Ashlee and looked down on her.
Even the prisoners could bully her at will.
The inmates bullied her without restraint–pouring water on her bedding, stealing her daily supplies, forcing her to do their work, and bullying her while she was using the toilet.
They beat her until no part of her body was left unbruised, and public humiliation became a daily routine.
When she came out of prison all battered and bruised, everyone thought she would cry and beg her family to care for her more.
The prison guard also’kindly reminded her, “Be a good person from now on. Now go home. Your family is waiting for you outside.” But Ashlee remained calm and indifferent.
She raised her head, shielding her eyes from the blinding sun with her hand.
She had lost her home and her family a long time ago..
The real Ashlee had died in the first month of her imprisonment, in a dark and forgotten corner.
The current Ashlee was just a wisp of soul that entered her body by coincidence.
