Chapter 29
Moments later, Ashlee walked out of the ward.
“Ms. Spencer,” Zane said respectfully.
Ashlee walked forward, saying, “Let’s go back.”
“Yes,” Zane said respectfully. “Ms. Lloyd said that you don’t need to worry about the medical expenses of Hayley. The Lloyd family has it covered.”
Ashlee nodded, “Please thank Juliette for me.”
After Ashlee returned to the villa, she set up a room to start making medicine.
The medicine here was too scarce and lacked the necessary plant energy, so she could only produce some inferior products.
But even these would have sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars in the black market of her previous world.
Fortunately, she was able to cultivate on her own. As long as she had these ready–made materials, she could grow purer and more potent seedlings.
Ashlee contacted a black–market merchant through Juliette’s connections and found an online channel. She registered an account and listed these medicines on the black market.
Survival in this world required money.
So she needed to make it quickly.
Although she could earn money by treating illnesses, there weren’t so many patients with rare diseases coming to her. She couldn’t bring people to the brink of death just to treat them.
Moreover, as a doctor, she had her own code of ethics and didn’t treat just any illness.
So she contacted Zane to arrange a lucrative job for her.
“Does this make money quickly?” Ashlee looked at the notice and script in her hand.
Zane nodded emphatically, “Nothing makes money faster than acting!”
He thought, “Ms. Spencer is incredibly beautiful, with a perfect figure. She could easily make a living off her looks.”
Ashlee lightly tapped the table and looked at the script in her hand, lost in thought.
“Even if I’ve been to prison? Aren’t you guys most afraid of scandals here?” Ashlee recalled several fallen celebrities from her memory. Zane touched his nose and said, “Apart from Ms. Lloyd and the Spencer family, no one else should know about that…”
Ashlee thought about it and realized that since it involved the secrets of the Spencer family, they couldn’t possibly spread it around.
