Chapter 252
Sienna took just a few seconds to steady herself. “It’s nothing, really. I was just wondering if Vivian and Amber made it home yet. Winifred, can you text Reno and check for me?”
Sienna had no idea if someone had messed with the car or if something else was going on.
“They’re both home, Sienna,” Winifred replied.
When Sienna heard Winifred’s words, she finally let out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding.
She gave a faint smile, her eyes still cool and unruffled. ‘There’s no point would only make things worse.‘

“Winifred, do you trust me?” Sienna asked, her tone calm but serious.
Winifred answered without a second thought, “Of course I do, Sienna. I trust you no matter what.”
A hint of comfort flickered in Sienna’s eyes. “Alright, buckle up. I’m about to show you how I drive when I go all out.”
The car swerved off its original route, accelerating wildly as Sienna tore up the mountain road and shot straight onto the racing track. She called Reno and filled her in on what was happening.
Reno’s heart thundered in her chest. After hanging up, her hands shook so badly she almost dropped her phone. Reno forced herself to steady up. “Everyone, hurry up,” she shouted.
“Yes,” they replied.
By this point, even Winifred realized what was going on. “Sienna, is there something wrong with the car?”
Sienna stayed perfectly calm, as if she were just talking about the weather. “Yeah. But don’t be scared. I’m here, and like I said, nothing’s going to happen.”
Winifred couldn’t help but laugh, “And like I said, I trust you no matter what.”
The two of them shared a smile.

After what felt like forever of circling the winding road, Sienna seized the perfect moment and shouted, “Winifred, trust me. Jump.”
“Okay.” Winifred didn’t hesitate for even a heartbeat. She launched herself out of the car, but it was going way too fast. She couldn’t grab the roadside poles and went tumbling straight down the mountainside.
As Winifred rolled, the steep drop below made fear grip her heart, and her head started to spin.
Right at the last second, just as Winifred was about to slide even further down, a hand shot out and grabbed her, hauling her back up.
“Sienna?” Winifred choked out, her voice trembling.
Winifred flashed a bright smile–relief washing over her. They were both safe. But as she grinned, she suddenly felt something sticky.on her hand. When she opened her palm, she realized it was blood.
Her pupils dilated in shock. Winifred looked up at Sienna; her hand was covered in blood. “Sienna?” Winifred gasped.
Sienna reached out and gently covered Winifred’s eyes. “Don’t be scared. I’m fine,” she said softly.
As she spoke, Sienna forced herself to swallow down the sweet, metallic taste of blood rising in her throat, refusing to let it show,
Winifred’s eyelashes fluttered against Sienna’s palm, tickling her skin.
When Reno finally arrived, her face went pale. “Miss Enna?” she called out, panic written all over her features.
Sienna’s back was a bloody, mangled mess, her leg obviously broken and soaked in blood. Her clothes hung in tatters from her arms and shoulders, exposing raw, bleeding wounds everywhere.
I’m fine. Let’s get to the hospital,” Sienna said, her voice steady as ever.
Sienna kept her hand firmly over Winifred’s eyes, determined not to let her see any of this. Her palm grew wet with tears, Winifred was

crying.
“Sienna, it’s my fault. I dragged you into this. I’m a monster. I never should’ve been born. Sienna, I deserve to die. You must be in so much pain,” Winifred sobbed, her voice breaking.
From the fear in Reno’s voice, Winifred was certain Sienna’s injuries were serious.

“Don’t say such nonsense. You’re my sister, my family. If you’re a monster, then so am I,” Sienna said calmly, her comforting voice slowly piecing together the shattered remains of Winifred’s guilt–ridden heart.
Sienna, I–Mmph.” Winifred groaned, a stabbing pain exploding in her head.
‘Something’s wrong, the chip, Sienna realized.
“Winifred, we need to get to the hospital right now,” Sienna said urgently.
“Sienna Winifred clung tightly to Sienna’s hand, terrified this might be the last time she ever saw her. Tears streamed down her face as she stared at Sienna, trying to memorize every detail.
“Sienna, it hurts so much. Please, hold me,” Winifred whimpered, her voice trembling with pain.
Blood started to trickle from Winifred’s nose, mouth, and eyes, slowly blurring her vision. Even so, she managed a shaky smile at Sienna. “Sienna?”
Sienna gathered Winifred into her arms. “To the hospital, now.
“Yes, Miss Enna,” Reno replied, flooring the accelerator. She swore this was the fastest she’d ever driven in his life.
Sienna’s hands were shaking as she held Winifred. Reno caught a glimpse of her eyes; those eyes that were always so steady and composed, no matter what. Now, for the first time, they were filled with raw fear and panic.
“Faster,” Sienna barked, her voice sharp with urgency.
“Yes, Miss Enna. Three minutes–just three minutes to the hospital.” Reno shouted, pressing the gas pedal down even harder.
“Sienna, let me really see you. Please,” Winifred whispered, her voice barely more than a breath.
Winifred managed a bitter smile, but before her hand could reach Sienna’s face, it fell limply to her side.
Sienna caught her hand, squeezing it tightly. “Winifred, just rest for a bit. When you wake up, you’ll see me again.”
“Is everything ready?” Sienna asked.
“Miss Enna, Zane is already waiting. But you’re really not in any condition to perform the surgery yourself. Maybe you should let Zane handle it–he’s your junior. I- Reno said.
Without a word, Sienna strode past Reno, carrying Winifred in her arms. Her white dress was soaked in blood, and if you looked closely, her bare feet were twisted and broken.
Sienna’s back was covered in wounds as she carried the girl in black into the operating room.
