Right after that, Iris was exposed–her so–called “miracle doctor” persona was a total sham. She’d faked her credentials, never graduated from any prestigious medical school, and her so–called achievements all smoke and mirrors. One medical malpractice scandal after another exploded online.
It took less than ten minutes for Iris to fall from a celebrated overseas
prodigy that everybody wanted a piece of to a pest that
everybody wanted to crush.
The Grant family was finished for good. In just a few hours, they went bankrupt, got hit with scandal after scandal, and their company was snatched up in a hostile takeover.
Sienna didn’t hold back- -she publicly declared that she was the one who bankrupted the Grant family. She called out Iris and Sylvie for having the nerve to lay a finger on her own sister, Winifred, who was still lying unconscious in the hospital.
Sienna said that all the evidence pointed directly at Iris and Sylvie, and the police had launched a murderers. She and those two were mortal enemies now–there was no room for forgiveness.

When Thorn heard Sienna had been hurt, he grabbed a ton of stuff and rushed straight to the hospital. The moment he saw her standing by the bed, he ran over and threw his arms around her.
“Hazel!”
Sienna recognized Thorn’s voice and frowned, completely off guard. Just as she was about to turn around, Thorn grabbed her in a tight hug from behind, pressing right against her wound. Sienna hissed in pain.
Thorn heard her and instantly let go, jumping back like he’d been electrocuted.
He blurted out in a panic, “Hazel, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were hurt on your back. Are you okay? Take off your shirt and let me
check.”
Sienna took a deep breath. “Get out.
But Thorn, completely oblivious to danger, kept coming. “Let’s not talk about anything else right now. Your health comes first. Let me see how bad it is.” As he spoke, he reached out, about to lift Sienna’s shirt.
Sienna smacked him hard across the face. Thorn was stunned for a couple of seconds, but still tried to keep going. In the end, Sienna sent him flying with a single kick.
With a loud thud, Thorn crashed right at Vivian and Amber’s feet. Just the sound of it made both of them wince in sympathy.
But Thorn just dusted himself off and got up like nothing had happened.
“Sienna.” Vivian and Amber called out, voices trembling with worry.
Amber was about to throw herself into Sienna’s arms when Thorn suddenly barked, “Stop! Both of you, stay away from her.”
They froze in their tracks, staring at him in confusion.
“She’s hurt. Don’t touch her.” Thorn snapped.
Amber yanked her hand back right away, tears streaming down like a broken faucet. “Sienna, does it hurt? Are you okay?” she choked out, her voice thick with sobs.
Vivian hurried over, worry etched all over her face, and gently took her arm. “Sienna, you should sit down first.”
Sienna gave a faint smile, a bit of warmth finally returning to her pale face. “Don’t cry. I’m fine. It’s just a scratch. I’ll be good as new in a few days.”
But Thorn didn’t believe a word of it. He knew Sienna too well–if her injury was really nothing, she wouldn’t have hissed in pain when he touched her just now.
“Enna, look what I brought you.” Nora came in, beaming as she carried a bunch of stuff–only to freeze in place when she saw the room packed with people.

Chapter 257
Thorn’s unfamiliar yet strikingly handsome face was the first thing to catch her eye.
Whoa, six–two, abs, total hottie!‘ Nora thought.
Then she realized this guy was Sienna’s brother, Thorn Noir from Meridia.
When Wayne behind Nora saw Thorn, his face turned stormy on the spot. “Thorn, this is our family time. You’re just us all a favor and get out. Don’t stand there being an eyesore.”
Wayne couldn’t even be bothered to play nice with Thorn anymore–he just said it straight, no sugarcoating.
