Rosalind’s eyes widened. “Sandoval Group? Are you… talking about the Sandoval Group?”
Is it the Sandoval Group, one of the three top–tier conglomerates whose mere stomp can shake the entire financial market?‘ she wondered.
Gordon gave her a cold glance. “What do you think?” Then he brutally smacked Mateo on the head.
Mateo’s head was buzzing from the smack. Actually, he didn’t even touch that kid’s hair that day. Within five minutes, his membership was revoked, and he was informed that it was an elevator exclusively for the hotel’s upper management.
At that point, he knew things had escalated significantly. It turned out Perce Hotel belonged to the Sandoval Group.
He knew he was fucked up.
Rosalind hesitated. “But I heard the leader of the Sandoval Group isn’t married.”
Gordon sneered. “Who said he can’t have kids if he’s not married? Who is he? The leader of the Sandoval Group! There are plenty of women lining up to beg him to have their kids!”
Rosalind had no comeback to that remark.
Just then, Gordon bent down to pick up his phone and continued, “Several suppliers are refusing to supply us now. Without Mr. Sandoval’s approval, none of them would dare do business with us.”
Rosalind turned pale in fear instantly. ‘If the company went bankrupt, what about my Hermes bags? Could I still afford expensive beauty treatments?‘
Gordon kept dialing.
Rosalind asked cautiously, “Are you calling Mr. Sandoval?”
Gordon shot her a helpless glare that screamed, “Absolutely ignorant. Can just anyone get Mr. Sandoval’s number?”
All he had was the number of Mr. Sandoval’s chief secretary.
Pitch–dark night enveloped this bustling city, neon lights flickering like a long scroll unveiling the magical, sleepless metropolis.
In the master bedroom of the penthouse suite at the top of the Perce Hotel, thick curtains were tightly closed, completely blocking out any light.
Abruptly, a patch of white light flared up near the wall, and upon closer inspection, it turned out to be the screen of a smartphone indicating an incoming call.
The phone was in silent mode, and in the quiet space, it lay silently in a palm, making no sound.
Someone on the bed seemed to turn over. With the faint light from the phone screen, the man sitting on the sofa glanced

over. The young man on the bed had a furrowed brow, barely visible. The person by the wall quietly covered the phone screen with his hand.
Something heavy pressed on Nolan’s chest. Surrounded by darkness, screams echoing, he was in unbearable pain, struggling to breathe.
He strained to open his eyes and saw someone similarly pinned down, staring straight at him.
Despite the blood on the person’s face, he could see it was a girl.
She just looked at him without moving, saying slowly, “Sorry.”
He wanted to ask why she was apologizing, but before he could, a loud “boom” came from below, and he lost balance, falling down.
Nolan’s legs jerked violently, and he instinctively sat up in bed.
It was that strange dream again.
Suddenly, all the lights in the room were silently turned on.
Nolan wiped the sweat from his face and finally saw the man sitting on the sofa by the window.
Henry stood up, handed him a handkerchief, and sat down by the bed, asking, “Your grandpa said you’ve been having
nightmares lately. What’s going on?”
Nolan’s face looked pale. This strange dream started a week ago, and he had no idea why. In the dream, he didn’t know
where he was or who the person he kept seeing was. Every time he tried to see her face, he failed.
“Should I get you a therapist?” Henry asked.
Nolan frowned, clearly resistant.
The secretary by the wall walked over, pulling out the phone. “Sir, this call has been going on all day long.”
Henry glanced at it, smirking towards Nolan, “It’s that guy who was rude to you at the elevator last time. So, what do you want to do? Ruin them financially or destroy their reputation?”
Nolan seemed to just remember that person. He got off the bed, poured a glass of water, downed it in one go, then turned back with a smile, “If Mr. Porter collapses before experiencing society’s ‘education‘, what’s the point of me going to Embridge? Right, Henry?”
“Whatever you say.” Henry nodded.
The curtain slowly drew back, and the young man turned, leaning casually against the windowsill while gazing down at the entire Ofada below. With a detached air, he remarked, “I heard the Porter family still held shares in Knight International School. This gotta be interesting.”
Henry stood up, buttoning his shirt with one hand. “Got it. I’ll have George go to Embridge personally tomorrow to handle your transfer ASAP.”

At the mention of George’s name, Nolan’s eyelids twitched slightly.

Averie was too excited to sleep all night. Early in the morning, she sent the room number and Solana’s photo to the debt collectors, then she put on an act of going out to meet friends and left first.
Solana stood by the window, watching her leave, and then sent her a message, asking for the room number while explaining she had forgotten.
Averie replied instantly, [10 am, Serenity Hotel, room 10086. Come find me there!]
With a sneer, Solana put away her phone.

The debt collector guy was named Aaron Howell, in his mid–20s, full of vigor. The moment he saw the photo of the creamy- skinned, beautiful girl, he was thrilled. He and his two buddies passed the photo around, admiring and praising her for a long time.
Averie was already the prettiest girl they’d seen, but this one was even prettier.
They all came to the same conclusion that this deal was a steal.
The three men couldn’t wait to rush to the Serenity Hotel, smoothly opening the door to room 10086 with the key card.
With a click, all the lights turned on.
The three guys froze. They didn’t expect the girl in the photo to be already sitting on the couch.
‘Aren’t she supposed to be here at ten? It’s only nine now,‘ they wondered.
That was not the point. The point was that the girl in front of them was even more stunning than her pictures, which portrayed her as gentle and lovely. However, her eyes are strikingly cold.
‘Who cares what time it is!‘ Aaron thought as he hurriedly walked towards the girl on the couch, his feet moving without permission.
Behind him, the two lackeys grinned lewdly, rubbing their hands in anticipation. After Aaron was done, it would be their turn, and they couldn’t wait for it.
They had never had the chance to enjoy such high–quality girls before and were determined to savor the experience thoroughly, etching it into their memories.
Before Aaron could reach her, the girl said calmly, “Mr. Aaron Howell?”
Aaron’s face changed. ‘Damn it, Averie! That bitch actually had the nerve to mention my name!‘ he cursed inwardly.
Solana remained calm on the sofa and looked straight at the man in front of her. “I know Averie called you here. You must know she’s staying at the Webb family now. So, do you know who I am?”

In her previous life, she broke down when she found out she wasn’t the real daughter of her parents. But not this time.

She was grateful that Robert and Gloria wanted to throw a grand welcome party for Averie instead of making a public announcement about her existence. This meant that, in the eyes of those outside, she remained the esteemed young lady of the Webb family.
Aaron froze again as the girl went on, “My dad is Robert Webb; my name is Solana Webb. Have you thought about what would happen if you touched me today?”
Instantly, Aaron’s eager expression turned to fear.
