Bruno waited inside the grand hall, dressed in a black tuxedo. He was supposed to look noble and elegant, but at the moment, he was staring at his phone and repeatedly calling a familiar number.
“Damn it!” Bruno cursed under his breath, glaring furiously at his assistant. His gaze was sharp as a knife.
The assistant, startled by Bruno’s sudden burst of anger, shook slightly. He quickly snapped out of it and looked at Bruno in confusion. “What’s wrong, sir? What happened?”
Bruno snorted. “Doesn’t she know what day it is today? To think she’s still not here!”
The assistant froze, then suddenly seemed to remember something. He quickly pulled out his phone and dialed a number. As
soon as the busy tone came from the other end, his face instantly went pale.
“Sir, this is an invalid number,” he stuttered, cold sweat rolling down his forehead.
What kind of wedding would this be if the bride went missing?!
“This can’t be happening!” Bruno’s brows furrowed; he snatched the phone from his assistant and checked it himself.
Sure enough, the screen clearly read, “This number is not in service. Please check the number and dial again.”
By now, guests were already arriving at the venue one after another. They consisted of well–regarded individuals from various industries. If Aelia dared to throw a tantrum or cause a scene at this critical juncture, Bruno would never forgive her
for the rest of his life!
Thinking this, his anger intensified. Just as he was about to lose control, the hotel manager walked over with a smile.
“Mr. Russell, the bride has arrived,” he said respectfully. “Should I ask the emcee to start the ceremony?”
Bruno took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down, then nodded in agreement.
