The moment one of those men’s filthy hands reached for my chest, I didn’t hesitate–I pulled out my stun baton and jabbed it right at him! While the others were still in shock, I went after the other four, one by one.
Soon, the ground was filled with men howling in pain. All five of them lay there, twitching and convulsing.
Without thinking, I took out my phone and called the police. It didn’t matter who wanted me hurt, the police would get to the
bottom of it.
Meanwhile, at Liam’s side….
He was checking his chat with his beloved. When he saw the message that I was on my way to pick him up, he got so excited he started bragging to his friends.
“See? My wife’s coming to get me! Are you envious of me, you singletons?”
One of his close friends nudged him with his elbow. “The gods will punish you for showing off too much!”
“Yeah! You’ve got a girlfriend, but the rest of us will get one eventually!” someone else grumbled.
Liam laughed like a little boy, then impatiently jumped out of the car and announced happily,
“That’s it for today’s gathering! I’m done having fun! I’ve got to wait right here for my lovely wife!”
The happiness on his face was unmistakable. He was a man completely in love.
His friends groaned when they heard him, and couldn’t take it anymore. Each of them made exaggerated faces, and one of them even pretended to gag.
“Oh, please, Liam. You’re so cringe right now! You’re not even married yet, and you keep calling her your wife already. Aren’t
you embarrassed?”
But Liam didn’t care at all. He just gave a proud smirk and replied with total confidence, “What do you know? It’s just a matter
of time. When we do get married, you’re all invited to the wedding for a feast!”
Everyone kept joking around for a while, but as time dragged on and I still hadn’t shown up,
Liam’s confidence started to fade.
“This is strange. My wife is always on time… She’s never late. Could something have happened?”
The more he thought about it, the more anxious he became. Then, he couldn’t take it anymore, and sprinted off in my
direction.
His heart was pounding the whole way, like it was about to burst in his chest. The minutes dragged by, but everything ahead
was eerily quiet. Nothing was moving at all.
As he got closer to our meeting spot, Liam started blaming himself.
“It’s all my fault for listening to her. I should never have let her come alone! I should have picked her up myself!”
He sped up, dialing my number again as he ran. Then, a blood–curdling scream echoed from deep in an alley.
