Chapter 379
“Sienna, I’m starving. I’ve been on a plane for more than ten hours,” Thorn whined, looking at Sienna with big puppy dog eyes.
Sienna let out a helpless sigh and glanced at Elisa, who finally served him a bowl of rice.
*Sienna, try this. We have sweet and sour fish tonight,” Julian said, picking up a piece and putting it on her plate.
He served Sienna without even glancing at Thorn, treating him like he was invisible.
Thorn couldn’t care less about being ignored. He just dug in, genuinely starving. The food was actually amazing he thought.
He scarfed down three whole bowls of rice and still wanted more.
He picked up a few stray grains of rice from the table and popped them into his mouth. “Is there any more rice? Give me another bowl
Finally, after stuffing himself, Thorn flopped down on the couch. “Sienna, you have no idea. The doctor said I was this close to dying
At those words, Sienna, who was sitting at the table, paused mid–movement.
She didn’t reply.
“Sienna, guess I’m just lucky to be alive, right?” Thorn said, fishing for a response.
But she still didn’t respond.
Thorn didn’t get upset at all. He just kept rambling on, totally unfazed, while it was actually Julian who ended up listening to
him.
Thorn stuck around really late before finally heading out. Honestly, if Julian hadn’t left first, he probably would’ve just crashed there till morning
“Hey, Julian, stop right there!” Thorn called out.
Julian stopped and turned to look at him.
“I know you’ve been staying here these days, Thorn said.
Yeah, Julian replied.
“Can you talk to her? See if she’ll let me stay here too?” Thorn asked..
Julian frowned, his voice icy. “Thorn”
Thorn shrugged. “Relax, I was just joking. But hey, I’m not giving up that easy
The next day, Sienna got invited to a business event. And by the time it wrapped up, dusk had already fallen.
She had on a pair of flats, but for some reason, she’d been feeling really worn out lately.
“Sienna! You hit my mom, didn’t you? How could you!” a girl yelled.
A girl in a purple dress with short hair and narrow eyes rushed over, clearly about to shove Sienna.
“Miss Sienna Lana had gone to get the car, and in that split second she wasn’t watching. Tanya Duncan suddenly charged at Sienna.
Sienna was just about to dodge, but her vision went black and she started to collapse backward.
Thom dashed over at lightning speed, catching Sienna right before she could hit the floor.
Taniya froze, totally freaking out, her face pale as a ghost. She waved her hands frantically, shaking her head. “It wasn’t me. I didn’t do anything I didn’t even touch her
“Oh, I see what’s going on. You’re pulling a scamt Trying to play the victim, huh?” Tanya shouted.
Thorn shot Tanya a deadly glare. “If anything happens to her, I swear I’ll feed you to the fish”

Chapter 379
Tanya’s face went even paler, and she started shaking like a leaf.
“No, it wasn’t me!” she cried out,
“Somebody must’ve seen what happened. I swear, I didn’t even touch her. Tanya insisted.
Tanya glanced around, but everyone she looked at quickly turned away and hurried off.
“Hey, wait. You guys have to back me up!” she called after them.
“Don’t go.
Weren’t you all supposed to be helpful and friendly? That’s so cold!” she yelled.
Thorn scooped Sienna up and carried her to the car.
“Arrest her,” Lana ordered coldly.
Yes.
“No, don’t arrest me.
Please, don’t” Tanya shouted, protesting her innocence as she was dragged away,
She was close to tears, but not a single tear would come.
If I’d known, I never would’ve come back. Who knew scam artists were everywhere here? Vallaris is just full of shady tricks, Tanya thought
Doctor! Doctor, hurry! You have to save her.” Thorn shouted, his voice echoing through the hospital corridor.
He burst into the hospital, carrying Sienna in his arms, panic written all over his face.
“Sir, please calm down and let us take care of her,” the doctor said, trying to steady him.
Thom n was a nervous wreck, his hands trembling so badly he could barely let go.
“You have to save her,” he pleaded, his voice cracking with fear.
Sienna, please be okay, Thom thought anxiously.
