Winifred never expected to run into Sean on her very first mission
She’d just finished the job and was about to turn and leave when Sean suddenly grabbed her ankle. He was sprawled on the ground. barely hanging on, gasping for breath, and looking like he could die any second

After struggling for a while, Winifred heard voices coming from nearby. “Search every inch! He has to be close–he can’t get away.”
Someone said, “He’s badly hurt. He’s not getting out of this alive. Make sure he’s dead so there’s no trouble later.”
Another one said urgently, “There’s movement up ahead! Hurry!”
Winifred frowned, realizing she couldn’t shake Sean off. With no other choice, she hauled him up and dragged him into a hidden spot to hide
Sean was still struggling, so Winifred gave him a sharp slap across the face, which finally made him behave.
Once the searchers had left, Winifred helped him out from their hiding place, hailed a cab, and took him straight back to the Lecter family home.
“Miss, who are you looking for?” The elderly butler opened the door.

The butler leaned in for a closer look and instantly recognized Sean.
“Oh my goodness!” he cried out, raising his voice, Madam! Sir! Mr. Sean Lecter is back! A girl saved him and brought him home! Hurry, come quick!”
In a flash, all the servants and bodyguards came rushing out, followed by a fancy–looking couple–probably Sean’s parents.
“I just ran into him on the street. No need to thank me.” With that, Winifred turned to leave.
Diane Lecter, Sean’s mother, hurried forward “Miss, wait! Please, don’t go! You saved my son–we don’t even know how to thank you!
Winifred replied, “No need.”
“Miss, you don’t understand. He’s our only son, and now you’re our family’s savior. Please, come inside! Whatever you want, we’ll do anything to repay you, Diane pleaded.

Diane did everything she could to persuade Winifred to stay.
