Queen Star Ch 391

Queen Star Ch 391

Chapter 391

I’m guessing your new faction doesn’t want to butt heads with your sister’s, right? So instead of wearing yourself out, why not take advantage of the resources already at your fingertips?”

Fay’s words made Winifred pause, deep in thought

Worried she might think he was scheming or had some hidden agenda, Fay slowly stood up. I’ve been by your sister’s side for twelve years. Even if it cost me my life, I’d never betray her. But hey, take this however you wantjust a suggestion, totally up to you”

Just as Fay was about to walk out the door, Winifred called out to him. Alright, I’m in

Winifred never expected to run into Sean on her very first mission

She’d just finished the job and was about to turn and leave when Sean suddenly grabbed her ankle. He was sprawled on the ground. barely hanging on, gasping for breath, and looking like he could die any second

Winifred’s face stayed blank, her eyes icy sharp as she kicked him off without hesitation

But he just latched onto her leg with a death grip

She said coldly, Ger lost.”

Sean gritted his teeth, stubbornly refusing to let go. Save me, I’ll pay youhowever much you want

Winifred really didn’t want to get dragged into his mess. Last time she stuck her nose in, she ended up owing Fay a favor

She knew that running into him was always bad news

No matter how hard Winifred kicked or punchied, Sean just wouldn’t let go. He clung to her leg like a drowning man grabbing a lifeline

After struggling for a while, Winifred heard voices coming from nearby. Search every inch! He has to be closehe can’t get away.”

Someone said, He’s badly hurt. He’s not getting out of this alive. Make sure he’s dead so there’s no trouble later.”

Another one said urgently, There’s movement up ahead! Hurry!”

Winifred frowned, realizing she couldn’t shake Sean off. With no other choice, she hauled him up and dragged him into a hidden spot to hide

Sean was still struggling, so Winifred gave him a sharp slap across the face, which finally made him behave

Once the searchers had left, Winifred helped him out from their hiding place, hailed a cab, and took him straight back to the Lecter family home

Miss, who are you looking for?The elderly butler opened the door

Winifred said, I ran into this guy on the street. He said this was his home, so I brought him back to your

The butler leaned in for a closer look and instantly recognized Sean

Oh my goodness!he cried out, raising his voice, Madam! Sir! Mr. Sean Lecter is back! A girl saved him and brought him home! Hurry, come quick!”

In a flash, all the servants and bodyguards came rushing out, followed by a fancylooking coupleprobably Sean’s parents

I just ran into him on the street. No need to thank me.With that, Winifred turned to leave

Diane Lecter, Sean’s mother, hurried forward Miss, wait! Please, don’t go! You saved my sonwe don’t even know how to thank you

Winifred replied, No need.”

Miss, you don’t understand. He’s our only son, and now you’re our family’s savior. Please, come inside! Whatever you want, we’ll do anything to repay you, Diane pleaded

Chapter 391

Diane did everything she could to persuade Winifred to stay

Winifred immediately sensed something was off

She wondered, In a situation like this, any normal parent’s first instinct would be to rush to their son’s sideso why are they so hung up on a total stranger instead? Something’s off

Winifred narrowed her eyes. Cut to the chase. If you’ve got something to say, just spit it out

They never expected Winifred to see right through them so fast

Diane grabbed her hand, her eyes full of desperation. Miss, I know what I’m about to say will probably make me sound crazy, but every word is true

Not long ago, a priest told us my son was fated for disasterdoomed to die unless a girl saved him

So please, I’m begging you, don’t go. just stay a little longer, okay?”
