Chapter 6
James got out of the car holding his son.
He looked around, unable to see the beautiful figure that he was searching for.
Instead, he found a bunch of annoying flies kept buzzing in his ears.
Derek tried to act casual as he stepped in front of James. He then bowed and said, “Mr. Efron, you are finally here. The marine waste recycling project is in the final stages of validation and is waiting for your signature. When would you be free to finalize things?”
As he spoke, Derek’s eyes fell on the boy in his arms.
But when he saw the boy’s face, panic surged in his mind for no reason.
The reason was simple–James’s son looked a lot like Claire. The resemblance was just uncanny.
Derek wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.
He comforted himself, telling himself that it must be à coincidence.
“How could a woman as lowly as Claire be related to the Efron family?” He thought.
Seeing that his beloved wife wasn’t coming to greet him, James tugged at his tie, irritated. He ignored Derek, who was short of getting on his knees in front of the man.
James strode towards the lounge.

Derek gritted his teeth. Embarrassment was all over his face, but he had no place to vent his anger, so he could only follow James with a smile.
James‘ assistant patted Derek on the shoulder and said, “Mr. Walsh, Mr. Efron is not being harsh to you. He is just in a bad mood because he couldn’t see his wife. By the way, his wife is here for inspection today. Did you see her?”
Derek frowned in confusion, and his expression changed slightly. Just as he was about to ask, he heard a shrill wail.

At this time, Tiffany was holding down Claire’s struggling daughter. Her long, red–painted nails dug into the little girl’s skin.
“You rascal! If you move again, I’ll kill you!”
The little girl looked at James, who was walking past her in a second.
She spat out the rag with all her strength and let out a scream.
“Dad!”
