My stare made him nervous for a second, and he looked shaken.
But once he regained control, he stormed over and smacked me across the
face.
He snapped, “You really are something. Almost had me fooled with your act!
“In my previous life, you kept everything hidden from me. Do you seriously think I’d fall for your tricks again?”
I remembered how, in my previous life, I had to go through his rough, unrelenting needs every month just to keep him alive.
Sometimes, I would pass out from the pain and end up losing ten pregnancies. But in the end, none of it mattered.
Herminie leaned into his chest and laughed softly.
“Honey, you said she’s been used by so many men. Don’t you think her body has given out by now?”
Without thinking, I covered my stomach, panic flooding my face.
“What are you trying to do?”
Herminie pulled out a set of specula and started walking over with a grin.
“Nothing big. I just want to take a peek.

In my previous life, she died early, so I never knew she could be this
vicious.

When I saw the huge tool in her hand, longer than my arm, I kept backing
away.
I shot back, “You’re insane! That thing could kill me!”
“Oh really? But I heard you once tried something even bigger, and you seemed to enjoy it. Why act all shy now?” she said.
As I tried to run, Edwin caught my arm, his eyes glowing with sick excitement.
“I’m honestly curious what a uterus looks like after it’s been completely used by countless men?
“If you don’t show us, that just means you’re a used–up whore!”
My whole body was trembling with rage. I shoved him hard and ran away. But I underestimated just how vile Edwin could be.
He ordered his bodyguards to catch me and drag me toward the deep well in the backyard.
“You wanted to escape?” He said, and then turned to ther bodyguard. “Toss her into the well. Let’s see how far she gets then.”
The well behind the Sullivan’s residence had been there for over a century. It was so deep that no one could ever see the bottom.
I didn’t need to imagine what would happen if I fell in; it’d be the end of

The bodyguards ignored my screaming and thrashing. They tied me up with thick ropes and threw me straight into the well.

“Please… someone help me!”
Everything around me was pitch black.
I reached out blindly, trying to grab onto anything, but my hands only scraped rough stone as I kept hitting the sides of the well before crashing into the cold water below.
I accidentally swallowed a few mouthfuls of the nasty water before coughing it back up. The horrible stench made me dizzy.
Clinging to the slimy wall, I dug my fingernails into the stone. The sharp pain of split nails and torn skin was the only thing keeping me conscious.
I had no idea how much time had passed when, all of a sudden, the rope
jerked hard. My body slammed into the wall again as I was dragged upward, bruised and bloody.
When I finally saw sunlight again, I couldn’t stop coughing up blood. My body gave out, and I collapsed onto the ground, completely silent.
Herminie wrinkled her nose and sneered, “Ugh, someone clean her up! She stinks! I can’t even look at her like this.”
Then they started dumping buckets of water over me. My eyelids fluttered, but I didn’t have the energy to lift them.
A moment later, I felt myself being thrown onto a cold leather lounge chair. My limbs were weak, my body soaked from the earlier ice baths.
I could barely move, but my ears were still working–unfortunately. Herminie’s gleeful voice echoed nearby, dripping with twisted delight.
“I’ve never actually seen what a uterus looks like.”
Edwin chuckled beside her, “Darling, take a good look. This is where our

I cracked my eyes open–and saw it.

Edwin was holding a speculum, its metallic edges glinting coldly under the chandelier. He was crouched between my legs, ready to force it inside

I jerked violently, my strength returning in a jolt of sheer terror.

The clock struck midnight.
With everything I had left, I kicked him in the chest. The chair overturned. I hit the ground hard.
Herminie shrieked, “Don’t let her escape!” and lunged at me with wild
eyes.
And then-
Edwin screamed.
A bone–chilling, inhuman sound tore through the air. His body convulsed violently.
He dropped the speculum and collapsed to the floor, clutching hist stomach in agony.
“Edwin?” Herminie turned to him, her voice trembling. “What’s happening? Don’t scare me!”
He gasped, his face contorting in horror.
“M–My whole body–hurts! It’s burning–something’s wrong-”

I sat up, wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth, and smiled coldly.
