It was a week later after Vanessie finished settling her grandma’s funeral matters
The whole Chavez family now relied on Jadynn for everything. As soon as the funeral was over, Vanessie hurried back to Washington, D.C
Before Vanessie departed, Jadynn gave her a few words of advice.
Vanessie, with a pale face, told Jadynn that she would go back on time and cut ties with Bergen completely.
Back at the villa from the airport, Vanessie found that the purple roses in the yard had withered, as they had not been taken care of for a week.

As Vanessie looked at the withered roses, a hint of mockery flashed in her eyes. She walked over and pulled up all the roses by the roots, throwing them into the trash can. Then, she took out her phone and made a call
“Hi, I accept the price you mentioned last time. If possible, I would like to sign the contract for the transfer as soon as possible.”

After hanging up the phone, Vanessie went upstairs to pack up her things.
She moved all her valuable things back to her grandma’s house. Then, she threw away all the rest of the things related to Bergen.
When Dugan arrived, the trash can at the villa’s entrance was already overflowing.
Dugan looked at the trash can with a hint of confusion in his eyes, wondering, “Why do all these clothes look so familiar?”

“Mrs. Chadwick… Dugan came back to his senses.

“Mi Chavez, Mr. Chadwick is attending a banquet tonight and asked me to come fetch a suit. Can you please help me with it?”
Expressionless, Vanessie asked back, “Why didn’t he come back to get it himself?”
Dugan lowered his head nervously and replied, “Mr. Chadwick just came back from a business trip and went straight to the office to handle
some work”
Vanessie sneered, “Really? I thought he was still enjoying something.”
Dugan didn’t dare to look up at her.
Vanessie didn’t plan to make things difficult for him either. She glanced at the trash can and said lightly. “Go check over there.”
Dugan followed her
and saw that the property staff had already started to transport the full trash cans for disposal.
“I beg your pardon Dugan was puzzled.
Vanessie said nonchalantly, “Hurry up, or all the good stuff will be picked by some scavengers soon.”
After saying that, she walked away, got in the car, and then left.

Bergen was teaching Kelly and giving her advice about her project. When he heard Dugan’s voice, he looked up and was stunned by Dugan’s injury.

Vanessie happened to want to ask Jocelyn about the value of the Venberg Group’s shares.
She wanted to sell all her shares, and luckily, Jocelyn was an expert in this field. If Vanessie let Jocelyn handle this for her, the amount she was able to get would be much more than if she sold those shares herself.
After arriving at the venue, Vanessie went straight to a private room on the second floor.
After she opened the door and walked in, she saw Jocelyn sitting alone in the chair, looking a bit gloomy.
