Chapter 9
I am Sylvie, the only daughter of the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack.
After my mother passed away, my aunt, who had married Alpha Rex of the Blood Moon Pack, took me under her wing and brought me to their pack to personally look after me.
Alpha Rex really liked me–or, to be more precise, he liked the power behind the Silver
Moon Pack that came with me.
Ever since I was a little kid, he would often have me sit on his lap and point at his sons, saying, “In the future, whoever our little Sylvie wants to choose as her mate, I’ll officiate the ceremony myself.”
“Wouldn’t it be nice for our little Sylvie to stay with the Blood Moon Pack? That way, you could see your Aunt Isabella every day.”
In my previous life, I foolishly fell for Emil, the son of the former Luna of the Howlfang Pack. I even helped him settle the power struggles among his brothers, paving the way for him to become the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack.
Chapter 9
And what did he do? As soon as he became
Alpha, he turned on me and set his minions. loose to massacre my Silver Moon Pack.
The blood–it was like a river!
Just before I lost consciousness, he snarled through gritted teeth, “If it weren’t for you, you meddlesome woman, I wouldn’t have lost my
Julia!”
“When she got sick and died, I couldn’t even. shed a single tear for her! The pain she felt- I’m going to make you and your people suffer
tenfold!”
“Your Silver Moon Pack has been wiped out; does it hurt your heart? Haha, they all died because of you! This is the punishment your deserve, you woman unblessed by the Moon
Goddess!”
When fate gave me a second chance and took me back to the day Alpha Rex asked me to choose my future mate, I didn’t hesitate to
point to my aunt’s son, the third–in–line James, and clearly stated, “I choose James as my
mate.”
Chapter 9
My aunt looked at me and motioned for Omega to hand over a Moon Petal Flower. “Sylvie, my child, just give this Moon Petal Flower to the young warrior you fancy.”
Alpha Rex let out a hearty laugh, “That’s right, whoever Sylvie likes, I’ll officiate your union. Under the witness of the Moon Goddess, the
whole pack will celebrate with you.”
Everyone in the Blood Moon Pack’s council hall was watching me.
As the heir to the Silver Moon Pack’s Alpha, my choice of mate was undoubtedly the talk of every werewolf pack.
After all, whoever became my mate would receive the unreserved support of the Silver Moon Pack. Who could resist such temptation? It’s basically making people crazy!
I held the Moon Petal Flower and slowly walked down from the platform.
All the werewolves were watching me with knowing smiles. Who didn’t know that since I was a child, I always liked sticking to the Alpha heir, Emil?
Chapter 9
Choosing him was a no–brainer in their eyes, a
sure thing!
Emil’s handsome face was twisted into a scowl, and he subtly recoiled.
And among those fancily dressed female werewolves, Julia’s beautiful eyes were already brimming with tears, ready to fall at any moment–a truly pitiful sight.
I took steps towards Alpha Rex’s sons. Emil betrayed his disgust as if he’d been forced to
swallow a fly.
Meanwhile, my cousin James was watching with a mischievous grin, ready to enjoy the
show.
This same cousin James, who always bantered with me, had rushed back from the distant border post, only to find my cold corpse.
He knelt by my body for three days and nights, like a fool, repeating, “Sylvie, my dear Sylvie, your cousin failed you… He should’ve stopped you from becoming mates with that jerk Emil, even if it cost him his life!”
Watching him I couldn’t help but feel my eves.
Chapter 9
Standing next to James was Eason, the second son of the former Luna, who seemed
indifferent.
He was never favored by his father, and Eason knew he’d never be the Alpha of Blood Moon
Pack. So, he never fought for it, enjoying his
peace.
I was about to hand them the Moon Petal
Flower.
Suddenly, Emil stepped forward, dropping to
his knees with a loud thud before Alpha Rex. “Alpha, my father! I already have a woman I love! We’ve acknowledged each other as
destined mates. I, Emil, will have no one but
her, and that person is Julia!”
