From that day on, everything changed.
My treasured Moonstone would go missing because Vivian would accidentally lose it. Homework I had spent all night on would be ruined by accidentally spilled ink.
Vivian would cry every time and insist she didn’t know she would cause those accidents. Damian and Ethan went from comforting me in the beginning, to accusing me of being unfair and picking on her.
All of this reached its peak a month ago.
Vivian accidentally broke the first gift Damian ever gave me, a Moonstone ring.
I lost control and confronted her at the top of the stairs. In response, Vivian deliberately threw herself down the stairs. When I tried to catch her, she dragged me down too.
My arm was injured in the fall, while she only got off with a few scrapes.
But when Damian and Ethan arrived, all they saw were Vivian’s tears.
I pulled myself out of the abyss of my memories.
Leo, still driving, handed me a tissue, I stared at it for a moment, only then realizing that my face was wet with tears.
When I had first agreed to my mentor’s offer to join a decade of advanced, closed–door Healer training, I thought I had already made my peace with leaving everything behind.

Chapter 4
Now, thinking back on all those memories, I realized that my heart still felt like it was being torn apart.
But… This was fine.
A werewolf’s life was a long one. It would just take a little more time to forget and let go.

After Seraphina left, Damian took Vivian to Sanctum Peak.
However, his mind was a mess. Ever since he had publicly rejected Seraphina at the Mating Ceremony, he was haunted by a
restless unease.
The part of his soul that should have been filled by his Fated Mate was now nothing but a cold, gaping void.
Was it really like what Vivian said?
Could the Hallucination Potion really create and transfer one’s Mate Bond?
