Chapter Eighteen
-Damian’s Pov-
“What game are you playing., Damian? How would you lose control over there? When I asked you to try winning him over, I don’t mean by you choking her to death…. You know right?”
“Will you stop yelling, you are intruding on my thoughts?”
1 threw my head back as frustration slipped through, weakening my demeanour.
“Like…. seriously? Do you ever think what might have gone wrong if I didn’t force my way in there? Do you want to ruin this chance”
“And yeah….. you are still yet to elaborate that plot you pulled yesterday night because right now I can’t even see any difference between you and Julian!
I had Caspian pull a nerve out of Julian. I wanted to see his reaction, and it worked.
He thought he got the facts about Caspian, he thought Caspian was head over heels for Elera and just like I predicted, he took the bait, and I knew he would find it as an opportunity.
He left this morning with the law excuse of being indisposed when I was well aware to deliver the news.
“Damian-”
Huff…” I get it Caspian… It wasn’t intentional as you can see, she pulled the string, she dared me by saying those words” I stood
up pacing around in a circle, the image of the neutral expression devoid of emotion flashing across my face simmering the rage in me to the way she slipped her hands into Julian’s yesterday night, the way she disapproved my help and still rubbed it to my face….. everything piled up fueling the murdering intent in me, my wolf fighting for dominance, urging to tear someone in shred. No one other than Julian.
I pulled off
f my jacket to the last place later protecting me from exposing my upper body.
“What are you doing?”
“I need to go for a run. I need to clear my mind at least I am going to think of a solution I have to be in my right state of mind”
I darted out into the woods; what a clear, great consideration from the school. The school was located in the best location possible opened to large glade
I felt Caspian’s hesitation as his gaze traced behind me till I was out of his sight.
My wolf stirred as an unfamiliar scent wafted across my nose, a scent different from her own. was even given a reaction to it
I don’t know why my
ny wolf
I decided to ignore the scent before going into four, every skin shredding, morphing into my wolf came with a pain that bored in me, the pain I felt the moon Goddess bestow on me as a punishment for fritting away an opportunity, losing the jewels that were meant to grant me peace and tranquil
1 howled loudly, a howl entwined with anguish and quilt 1 ran off in my four passes, cutting through the eerie darkness of the forest, testifying to my dejection.
I could realize it was dark when I finished off my laps but I felt relieved and a little bit at peace
I changed back my form and the same scent I caught earlier hit me, this time more intense than before
#25 BONUS
Sensation waved through me; I let out my sense, leaving my wolf to work, my claw all outgoing fully Into my protective nature; I sniffed through the air, breaking through the thick breeze.
The memory of yesterday’s rogue filled me in maximizing my sense of insecurity, heaping my dedication to catch the culprit..
I was trapped in my power, unleashing my aura; I knew the incense couldn’t belong to someone like me, the incense seemed like what a beta would possess, and I knew how Caspian smelled.
I consented to my wolf in my human wolf, letting my iris switch to icy blue, the one that symbolizes my power, authority and the promise of my pack.
The breeze justifying my aura, the whistling of the breeze amidst the eerie, the intensity of my dark aura piercing through the solace, the darkness bearing the impact.
The sudden familiar voice of agony sent a chill through me. I forced my wolf out of
f control the moment I realized whose voice it could be even though I hoped not.
Texpected her to still be with Elara
I rushed to the source of the noise, paving my way amidst the cold eerie plants. I gasped as I saw Sabrina, blood dripping out of both her facial opening, her nose and her ear. I forced her up from the curling position, I readjusted her position, resting her back towards the tree.
*Sabrina! Sabrina.
I tried calling her into consciousness; I let my power lose for some time, not expecting the impact to be this huge…not even expecting it to be her
I heaved a sigh of relief the moment I shook her into life and she looked so pale as if she had just woken up from her grave- “Are you okay? Can you walk?”
“Alpha Damian?” her shaky breath intertwined with her weakness. I couldn’t leave her to herself even when she managed to muster the strength to stand up
“I will carry you to your dorm, you can lean on me,” I remarked
I swept her from the floor, carrying her in a princess style. We were about to reach the centre of the school, which iwasa few metres away from her dorm. Since it was dark, it was a little silent, and darkness got us covered.
I froze on the spot, the world spinning beneath me, the chilling breeze, which I considered a blessing, sent a deadly sensation through me, stirring up the turmoil in me.
Here she stood, her cold expression adding to the chill crawling through my skin. Her expression is evident of unfathomable emotion until she crept a smirk before closing the distance between us.
“What are you waiting for Mr Scott? Shouldn’t you take her in?”
