Chapter 9
I felt helpless inside. Dylan’s twisted love was becoming more and more
obvious.
Gary quickly stroked his hair and kissed his cheek corner.
“I promise it won’t happen again. I’ll take you everywhere.”
Dylan nodded, satisfied, then casually asked, “How will you handle it? Don’t tell me you’re still soft–hearted toward him?”
“If you’d let me finish them years ago, this wouldn’t have happened.”
Coldness settled in my eyes. “Send them to Africa. Reunite the whole family.”
Dylan frowned.
“Eliminating them is safer.”
I knitted my brows. “Dylan, you promised me.”
He immediately lowered his head, pouting. “Fine. I won’t shout about killing anymore. We must do charity for our child’s sake.”
His gaze toward Gary and Kathleen then turned sinister.
“They can’t just live so easily in this world. They dared to hurt you; I’ll make them pay!”
He gave a signal to his men, and Gary and Kathleen were dragged out

immediately.
Soon, screams came from outside the door.
But I had no time to care, busy soothing the child who just woke up.
The baby saw Daddy and immediately smiled, excitedly wanting Dylan to hold him.
Dylan, unlike before, didn’t dislike the baby for being a boy, and gently patted his back.
“The baby is so brave, protecting Mommy.”
The child immediately giggled, and my heart melted.
I thought things would end here, but Gary somehow managed to escape from Africa.
Elizabeth watched Gary stumble toward her, limping on one leg like a tramp stationed outside her office building daily.
One afternoon, as she walked alone to the café, he suddenly collapsed to his knees before her, sobbing loudly. “Elizabeth, I was wrong!”
“That bitch Kathleen tricked me!”
“The child wasn’t mine! She had it with some man!”
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow–this detail surprised her.
Gary wept, reaching for her hand, but she stepped back. Her gaze turned icy. “Oh? Congratulations on your Symbol of Infidelity.”
Gary choked on his words, then looked at her pleadingly. “Elizabeth,

I’ve truly changed. Won’t you come back?”
“Remember how my mother saved your life? Give me another chance!”
“I swear I won’t cheat again. I’ll stay devoted to you forever.”
“Since you’re fertile, why don’t we have another child?”
I looked at the man before me like he was an idiot.
“Ever consider it’s you who has the problem, not me?”
Compared to Dylan, he’s as different as night and day. I only married him back then to repay a life–saving debt.
Would I be foolish enough to marry such a selfish, incompetent man again?
Besides, he’s long been useless anyway.
I kicked him away.
Didn’t expect I put too much force into it–sent him flying.
After that incident, I’ve been going to the gym daily to learn kickboxing.
Seeing how Gary looked just now, seems the training’s been paying off.
