Her cheeks were rosy, and her body was full of life. She looked nothing like someone supposedly on death’s door. Seeing that, Caleb finally realized that he had been completely deceived by this vicious woman.

As her own voice echoed through the room, Ruby’s face turned ashen. But she quickly snapped out of it and tried to deny it.

“Faked it?” Caleb looked at her coldly. He pulled out his phone and made a video call. “Dr. Lane, please repeat what you told me.”
Ruby’s stomach dropped as the face on the screen came into view. It was the very doctor who had helped forge her diagnosis.
She stared at Caleb in disbelief, only to hear Anthony Lane’s trembling voice coming from the video. “Yes… Ruby was never poisoned. She paid me to fake the medical report… It was all her idea. I’m sorry, Alpha…”
Ruby went completely pale. She looked at Caleb, but he was staring at her with nothing but hatred.
She fell to her knees, clutching his leg and sobbing. “Caleb, I’m sorry! I only did it because I loved you too much. I lost control for a moment. Please, can you forgive me?”
