I just ignored him.
He suddenly lost his temper and grabbed my arm. “It’s just a damn camellia! Do you really have to act like it’s the end of the
world?”
I still didn’t say a word.
Suddenly, he seemed to regain his composure. He asked seriously, “Do you regret falling for me?”
This time, I finally met his eyes. My voice was firm.
“Yes.”
Freddie didn’t say a word. He just looked at me deeply, then turned and walked out.

As I watched his retreating figure, a strange feeling crept into my chest.
It almost felt like he didn’t want me to leave. However, I quickly pushed that thought away. How could that be possible?
Early the next morning, I moved out of the villa.
I took very few things with me, just a few changes of clothes and some old photos. I left behind all the jewelry and designer bags Freddie had bought me.
Freddie and Bianca were still resting. They didn’t come to see me off. Only the housekeepers bustled around, helping me
carry my things.
I stood at the door quietly. Glancing one last time at the villa I’d lived in for ten years, I finally left without a word.
The two houses were far apart.
My days of living alone were quiet and peaceful.
I completely emptied my mind and let go of Freddie. I waited calmly for death to arrive.
As for the camellia I picked, I made it into a preserved flower and sealed it in a glass box.
In fact, I had lied to Freddie that day. I never once regretted falling for him.
The joy I once felt was real, and so was his kindness.
But if I could start over, I’d probably choose to never have met him at all.
I just couldn’t accept an ending like this.
