Before the instructor could finish his sentence, Narissa cut him off decisively. “I’ve just watched a bunch of movies about this stuff, and I guess I pick things up pretty fast
The instructor sized Narissa up for a few seconds, then finally nodded.
He thought, ‘Yeah, that actually makes sense.
‘After all, she’s so young. There’s no way she could really be what I was imagining.
He said, “Well, that explains how a newbie like you could pull off moves even smoother than a veteran agent like me.
“So it was all just your acting skills?”
“Anyway, Narissa won. So, Alina, don’t you think you should apologize to her in front of everyone?”
Though Alina was still a bit bitter, Narissa had proved her wrong so many times that she had to reassess Narissa’s abilities.
‘Maybe she really didn’t get in through connections. Maybe she actually has the skills to be personally recruited by the commander,’ Alina thought..
“Come on, apologize already!” Skye urged again.
Alina took a deep breath, stepped up to Narissa, and bowed respectfully.
“I’m sorry, Narissa. I shouldn’t have doubted or provoked you,” she said.
Narissa just crossed her arms and stayed silent. No one knew if that meant she accepted the apology or not.
“Let’s go. Show us your skills already!” Everyone crowded around Narissa as they left together.
Alina bit her lip, wanting to tag along but feeling too awkward to do it.
Just then, Narissa suddenly turned around and looked at her.
“If you want to learn, come with us,” she said.
Alina was really surprised.
She’d given Narissa so much trouble, and yet Narissa wasn’t even mad. She was actually willing to teach her.
‘Wow, she’s really forgiving… Alina thought.
That just made Alina feel even more ashamed.
“Stop acting all shy and get over here. We’ll all get better if we learn together!” Skye said, grabbing Alina and dragging her along.
The instructor watched the students laughing and joking together, and couldn’t help but feel a bit sentimental.
Back when he was an agent, he had a group of teammates like this. But after all these years, he was the only one left from his batch.
He let out a sigh.

‘I really hope these kids can stay this happy forever,‘ he thought to himself.

Ever since the rest of the group genuinely accepted Narissa, nobody tried to mess with her anymore. Instead, she became the role model everyone wanted to learn from.
That was all thanks to the extraordinary talent Narissa had shown.
Alina, who used to look down on everyone, had been humbled by Narissa’s repeated smackdowns.
She went from a proud girl to a hardcore admirer, just like Skye. Now she was practically glued to Narissa’s side every day.
Trying to pick up as many skills as she could, Alina was ridiculously attentive to Narissa, even running errands and bringing her meals just to score some extra lessons.
Narissa welcomed all their friendly gestures without hesitation.
When it came to professional knowledge, she taught them everything she knew, holding nothing back.
As for how much they could learn, that all depended on their abilities and luck.
“Narissa, heading home again?” Skye latched onto her as Narissa was packing up to leave.
Lately, Narissa was just bouncing back and forth between home, training classes, and the military base.
Now that it was dark, she was heading home.
“I really don’t want you to go. I wish you could be with us every single day,” Skye said, clinging to Narissa’s arm and refusing to let go.
These days, the two of them were almost glued together.
Of course, it was always Skye who stuck to Narissa like glue.
“I’ve got a curfew at home. If I don’t get back, it’ll be a huge hassle,” Narissa explained.
But honestly, the curfew wasn’t really an issue for Narissa. If she wanted to leave, nobody could really stop her.
Skye was shocked. “What? You still have a curfew these days? Your family is really strict with you, huh?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s such a bummer. We had plans to hang out today. It’d be a shame if you couldn’t make it,” Skye said, looking disappointed as she glanced back at the others.
The other four were all waiting for her answer.
Narissa glanced at her friends behind her, all wearing the same disappointed look as Skye, and couldn’t help but curl her lips into a smile.
Narissa thought, ‘They really remind me of Octopus and the others.
‘I guess I’m actually starting to miss those guys.
‘I really should find a chance to get together with them sometime.‘

Suddenly, Narissa changed her mind. “Since you guys are going out, let me run home and change first, then I’ll come find you.”
“Really? Awesome! I’ll send you the address in a bit, and we’ll head over and wait for you,” Skye said, then hurried off to tell the others.
“Narissa’s coming with us!” Skye announced.
“For real? That’s awesome!” the others exclaimed.
The whole group was full of anticipation.
Meanwhile, Narissa had already grabbed her bag and headed out.
That night, once everyone in the Everton family was asleep, Narissa slipped out the window.
Her family had no idea what she was up to.
When Narissa arrived at the biggest mall in Sinney City, she shot Skye a quick message.
It didn’t take long for the group of five to find Narissa, and together they headed straight for the arcade inside the mall.
Skye chattered excitedly, “This place is the most fun! They’ve got claw machines, fishing arcade games, coin pushers, and even anime figures.
“But my favorites are the basketball shooting, motorcycle racing, and driving games. Those are all super cool!”
As she introduced everything, Skye clung to Narissa’s arm, the two of them looking especially close.
