Who Watched Ch 5

5 Chapter 5

Looking at Kieran, who treated me like a priceless treasure, a warm feeling blossomed in my chest. I knew someone was in for a world of hurt,

Just then, the party lights suddenly dimmed, and the gems scattered on the floor began to shimmer with a brilliant light.

Kieran took the gem from his hand, his gaze locking onto the back of it, where he had personally engraved my name. His eyes grew deep and unreadable.

Ever since I became pregnant with our second pup, Kieran had focused nearly all his attention on me. If he hadn’t been tied up with urgent matters, he would never have allowed someone else to pick me up.

I looked at him, my heart aching.

Orion held the gem above his head and tugged on Kieran’s sleeve. “Daddy, isn’t this the gift you gave Mommy?”

Clutching Orion, I moved toward him.

Kieran’s expression darkened as he examined the wound on the back of my hand. Then, without a word, he took a handkerchief from his pocket and carefully wrapped the injury.

The crowd instinctively parted. I could feel his gaze fall heavily on my injured hand, and my heart skipped a beat. I didn’t need to see his face to know he was furious.

But Orion carefully lifted my hand, his face full of worry, and gently blew on the injury. His eyes began to mist over. “I low can you be okay? Mommy, tell me. Who dared to bully you?”

The moment he called me “Mommy,” the room fell silent. I heard a collective gasp.

By then, Kieran had reached my side.

The guests who had been sneering at me just moments ago were now dumbfounded.

He suddenly cupped my slightly swollen face. “Who hit you? Damn it! How dare anyone lay a finger on you!”

A powerful sense of security enveloped me, and the grievances I had buried deep in my heart suddenly rushed to the surface.

I held his hand tightly.

5 Chapter 5

Orion recognized them immediately. He picked up a fallen gem. It was the large blue sapphire that was once the centerpiece of the “Eternal Moonlight.”

Rage swept through Kieran like a storm. He clenched his fist, and in an instant, the damaged gem was crushed to dust.

I knew Kieran’s obsessive protectiveness of me all too well.

His concern warmed my heart. I pulled him closer and pressed a soft kiss to his soft cheek. “I’m okay.”

Orion threw himself into my arms, but his expression immediately turned to concern when he noticed the blood on my hand. “Mommy, what happened to your hand? Who bullied you?”

My voice trembling with tears, I let myself fall apart in front of Kieran, the person I trusted most. “When you weren’t here… they all bullied me.”

“My love, tell me. What happened to your hand? What bastard dared to hurt you like this?”

Orion could always sense when something was wrong with me, just like Kieran.

The crimson blood on my wound was a stark, jarring sight. The thick scent of it hit my nose, and a wave of nausea rose in my chest.

Kieran just frowned slightly, and Orion immediately signaled for me to put him down.

‘He didn’t have to say a word. Just by standing there, he radiated a powerful Alpha

presence that seemed to make the very air around us freeze.

With a face almost identical to Kieran’s, his expression was unusually solemn. “Daddy, someone bullied Mommy. We have to find out who did it and make them pay.”

Kieran, a man known for his icy demeanor, let a rare warmth grace his features the moment he saw me. A faint but clear smile brushed his lips.

His fury was palpable, thick and suffocating.
