Chapter 6
“Please, I’m begging you, let me go. I’ll never do it again…” Ruby curled up on the floor, crying in fear.
Caleb looked down at her with nothing but cold disgust in his eyes. “You killed Zoe, and you still want forgiveness? Keep dreaming.”
Ruby flinched at the icy sharpness in his voice. She had never seen this side of him before. Terror swept through her. She scrambled toward him on her knees and grabbed his leg, sobbing. “Caleb, I know I was wrong. Please, forgive me. I swear I won’t do it again…”
However, he just stared at her coldly. He remained silent as he took out his phone and made a call. “You can come in now.”
Moments later, two of his men stepped into the room.
Without a hint of mercy, Caleb gave the order. “Slice the tendons in her hands and feet, then cut out her tongue. Throw her off the cliff outside the pack once you’re done.”
“Yes, Alpha,” the men responded immediately and began approaching.
Ruby panicked and tried to crawl away, screaming, “No! Caleb, please don’t! I’m begging you!”
He looked at her coldly without blinking. “You killed Zoe. This is what you deserve.”
“No, please. I’m sorry! Please let me go.” She cried until her voice broke, but there was no trace of sympathy in his expression.
He continued to stare at her coldly. “You’ll pay a hundredfold for the pain you caused Zoe!”
Realizing he wouldn’t show her mercy, she finally snapped and started yelling, “Caleb, who are you trying to fool with this grieving act? Zoe hid her illness from you on purpose. She wanted revenge! She was completely disappointed in you! It was your neglect that drove her to her death! Why are you blaming all of this on me?”
Enraged by her words, Caleb trembled all over. He grabbed a nearby chair and slammed it down hard on Ruby’s legs. “If you say one more word, I’ll kill you!”
Her scream echoed as her leg was crushed, blood gushing out. Her face was drained of color from the pain.
Caleb’s eyes burned red. He had lost all control. He drew a knife and slashed it across her face.
Ruby screamed as blood poured from the gash.
“You destroyed Zoe, so I’m going to destroy you!” he roared, kicking her knee with brutal force.
A sickening sound followed as her tendon was sliced. Then, with the same blade, he stabbed her in the abdomen again and again–each blow deliberate, avoiding the fatal points..
“I’m going to make you live like a dog–broken, miserable, and in pain!” he yelled.
After everything was done, Caleb stared at her coldly, his eyes burning with murderous intent. “Take her away!”
