Chapter 101
Chapter 101
1 blasted him with his gun as he stepped forward. I wasn’t prepared for the sheer power of the gun as it pushed back into me but I managed to hold it as sull as I could. Blood seeps out of the hole in his chest and he falls on the wooden floor with a thump, eyes still open and filled with shock as he watches me lifelessly.
I immediately threw the gun far away from me like it was the plague as I busted out of the door. I needed to run as fast as I could because if there were other guards, they must’ve heard the gunshots and might be on their way to check it out.
I ran towards the forest of trees and I ran like I’d never nun before.
My blood reared in my ears but I kept pounding my feet against the floor. I finally felt it was safe enough to stop and catch my breath. I glanced over my shoulder and there was no one. I
Couldn’t hear anything around me. I kept on moving though, even though my body was practically begging me to stop
At some point, I reached a main road and I saw a woman just casually gening out of her car. I run towards her, my body now void of adrenaline as the thought that I could be safe.
“Help me.” I begged and she turned around to look at me. She immediately put her band over her mouth in an attempt to cover her very audible gasp. Her eyes widened at the sight of me. I know I look like a mess. I ripped my shin, blood all over my body, and bruises everywhere.
“Please, I need your help. I creaked out again,
“Oh my goodneud” The woman’s feet remained glued to her spot out of shock I’m sure. I knew time wasn’t on my side as I insisted. “Please, please?”
She nods her head frantically. “Okay, get in. Ill call an ambulance for you”
Relief swarms all over me and I pray that I find Leonardo and Russe before they do something that will cost them their lives
Leonardo De Luca
I called in a few doctors who are under my payroll to come to check out Alfonso’s bullet wound on his leg and everyone else of my men who were injured during the attack.
They are paid to do their job and not ask any questions.
Russo is already on the mission of gathering locations to look for Alexia, trying to find out any possible information
Alfonso groans on the ground as the doctor looks at his leg, red crimson blood everywhere.
I sent off some of my men to Landon’s house but I already know he won’t be stupid enough to take Alessia there.
He would probably take her somewhere that we don’t know the location of or rather, a place he thinks we don’t know about
Alfonso’s phone rings through his pocket and he grunts as he takes it out, with the doctor attempting to take the bullet out of his leg without him losing too much blood. He would need stitches after the bullet has been taken off so he doesn’t bleed out.
“Yeah?” He rasps as he pulls the phone up to his car.
I immediately started walking towards Alfonso. His eyes found mine as I approached. He hums and then grinds his teeth at the pain in his li
“Are you sure!”
I crossed my arms over my chest as I began to get impatient, I needed to know what the information was right now. Alessia’s life is at stake
“Alright, thanks,” Alfonso said before ending the call. He growled in pain when the doctor poured a liquid into his wound.
I shuffled closer. “So? What is it?”
“Landon” He groans again. “I made sure some of my men held back so they could trace him in case he managed to escape. His car has been spotted leaving a house in the mountains.”
“And Alessia! Is she with him?”
He shook his head. “I don’t think so. They didn’t mention anything about her so I doubt it.” “It might be a trap” I began to pace.
Alfonso looked up at me. “What are you talking about?”
Chapter 101
“What if it’s Landon’s way of luring us there? It could be a trap”
“It might be but one thing is certain. We don’t have the time to be thinking about ifs and buts. I keep you updated with any more information when I get them.”
I turned to the wall. “Cazzo!” Landon might be playing us but what other choice do we have! We need to go and see if she’s there.
Alfonso’s eyes waver for a moment and he rests his head on the wall behind me. “You need to go check it out.” He grumbles under a low breath “And when you get the chance, make him suffer. The next time I see you, I don’t want that fucker breathing anymore.”
I nodded my head at him. “You have my word.
Alfonso sent me the location of the place and 1 turned, walking towards Russ
“Alfonso was just informed of a location in the mountains where Landon has just been spotted leaving”
Russo’s nostrils fare. “Then what the fuck are we waiting for! Let’s head out.”
I ordered some of my men to follow us for barkup. Russo slid into the driver seat and I headed over towards the passenger side seat
The wheel bumed into the concrete as Russo took a sharp turn, zooming down the street toward the location
“What’s the plan?”
“We scope out the area first before we go in V We take out whoever we need to, and Alessia. It she’s not there, we need to quickly move to the next location.” I stated simply as Russo nodded,
The drive to the location took less than ten minutes with Russo’s driving. We both remain silent as the car crawls to a stop and we can see the little house in the distance, surrounded by trees.
My men behind us stopped and we looked around for any sign of Landon’s gang but found nothing and no one. Maybe they were closer to the house
away from the road in case Landon comes back. He’ll know we’re here immediately he sees the cars.
“Let’s hide our cars av
I nodded, recognizing the wisdom in his words.
