Chapter 103
Leonardo De Luca
1 glanced around over my shoulder and spotted a toolbox perching beside a semi–made fence. I walked over there and dug through the box pulling out a hammer before stalking back towards Landon.
He eyes the weapon in my hands and I turn the hammer over to the side that looks like a claw and strike it on Landon’s leg. A loudi lips as the metal lodges between his bones, blood pouring from the fresh wound
“Tell me where she is,” I asked again, surprisingly calm this time around
A whimper escapes his lips but he says nothing more.
I don’t have time for this!
I yanked out the hammer and did the same thing to his other leg watching him crumble to the floor in pain.
“I SAID. TELL ME WHERE SHE IS!” I shouted,
cry
excapes his
Landor’s cries soon turned into laughter, chilling laughter. It ignites my fury so much
h that I’m ready to rip out his eyeballs with my bare hands
“You wont find her because she’s dead. He chokes out between gasps for breath.
My heart stops beating.
He’s just trying to fuck with your mind
Don’t listen to him!
Alessia’s alive! I know she is. She has to be
I tightened my fist around the hammer, ready to smash his head in when Russo’s phone rang. I paused but didn’t dare take my eyes off Landon as Russo answered his call.
I just couldn’t wait to end Landon’s miserable life once and for all. I’d find Alessia myself!
“Are you sure?”
“What?” I say to Russo as he ends the call
He walks to my side and spits on Landon, his saliva hitting him on the cheek with force. “You sick fuck“” Russo growls before turning to me
“She’s been spotted”
“Where?” I demand.
“She escaped. Just end this motherfucker.”
A wave of relief washes over my body and I took in a breath of relief for the best time today. Flowered down to Landon’s level. I eyed him up one last time before it was game over.
“I wish I could make this fucking torturous for you. But the quicker you’re out of my life, the better, I don’t want to waste even a single second with. you anymore. I should have done this a long time ago.”
Landon flashes ine one last smile before I use the claw best is covered in his blood to smash it into his left eyeball. Blood splatters across the car and my shirt as he groans at the pain and stumps back. I pulled the hammer out and forced it down the other eye until his skull caved in and his face was unrecognizable.
I can’t stop.
I kept on smashing his face over and over even as his brain matter dripped out of his skull onto the floor.
Russo placed a hand on my shoulder and that was when I stopped. We both know he’s dead now. He’s way more than dead.
“Let’s go get her,” Russo said and I dropped the hammer beside Landon’s mutilated head. I glanced up at Russ and nodded. “Let’s go bring her
Chapter 103
“Where was she spotted?” I asked Russo as we climbed back into the car,
“In the woods, down the mountain. They saw a brunette girl with a ripped top and running frantically.”
“Which area?” I demand.
“Alfonso sent me a location. The men are already there but they can’t find her. They’ve lost her. They also spotted Dante barely clinging to life. A doctor is attending to him right now,
I closed my eyes, breathing out a sigh of relief at the good news. “She escaped”
“I remember Anthonio taught her how to get out of a very tightrope when she was just a kid. I’m amazed she still has such crafty hands” His mouth lifts into a smile out of the corner of my eye.
I was envious of the tight–knit relationship she had with her brothers. I wished I had something like that with Mateo. I was grateful to both Anthonio and Russo for being such great brothers to her.
“We need to find her.” I say, keeping my eyes peeled on the road as Russo zooms past. “She’ll be okay” He reassures me “She’s tough, remember
Slowly, I nod. “I know she’s tough but Landon…” I trail off. “I fear what he might have done to her”
I just
twished I could bring Landon back to life just so 1 could kill him again as I thought of all the horrible things he did to her.
Russo turned down a dirt path that couldn’t even he classified as a road, more like a footpath
“Okay,” Russo said. “This is where Alfonso said she was spotted”
We took a glance everywhere but not surprisingly, she was nowhere to be found
“Let’s find the closest main road at the bottom of the hill, I ordered, pointing in one direction. “She might have flagged someone down for help or something”
Russo hums in response “Alright, boss.”
Russo turns back around and heads towards the road on the side of the wooded area Anticipation spikes inside of me, desperate to see her face again
I can only just pray that she’s somewhere safe
As we approached the end of the wooded area, Russo turned left onto the main road.
“Look.” I lean forward in my seat and point towards an ambulance at the far side of the road. is lights are still flashing. My eyes met Russo’s and I know we’re thinking the same thing. “Let’s go.”
Russo nodded and parked the car by the side of the road we hurried over to the ambulance and we instantly heard voices. The back of the ambulance is still open and we spot two Paramedies
“Please, I’m fine.” I hear a strangled but all too familiar voice say “I don’t want to go to the hospital
“Ma’am, you’re severely injured and bleeding. We need to check you for any internal injury that could be life–threatening”
I was now in a position where I could comfortably see inside the ambulance and my knees almost gave way when I saw Alessia sitting down with a comfort blanket around her shoulders. The sight of her face has me crumbling. She’s bleeding from her mouth and her eyes are black and blur.
Her hair is a mess but seeing her in front of me and knowing she’s safe, fuck! I’m about to fall in relief.
“AL” Russo’s voice spoke out from behind me because, for some reason, I just couldn’t find my voice to speak. All I could do was stare at her in relief because she was alive.
She’s fucking alive!
