I couldn’t get my brain to process the words leaving the doctor’s mouth. The only thing I could focus on was Alessia lying on the bed only a few feet away from us. She’s going to be fine according to the doctor but she looked so pale it’s almost hard to believe.
Even before I got her text yesterday, I had already gotten suspicious when I saw her drive out alone with the bodyguard from the security feedback. I immediately called Russo only for him to tell me that he allowed her a free night out with Isabella. Isabella must’ve given him a mind–blowing fuck for him to agree to such bullshit!
When I got her text, I traced her phone in a matter of seconds and I and Russo jumped into the car, probably breaking every road law that exists in the rush to get to them.
The second saw her gagged, tied up and hickeys all over her collarbone was the second I knew that I’d make these men beg for death, whoever they were, just like I did with Enzo
I spent most of the night making them experience every single pain known to man. I and Russo took turns and 1 got to realize that Russo could very much be way dirtier than I was and that’s not supposed to be possible.
Thankfully, it turns out that the men were just random idiots and not in any way affiliated with Landon which was my biggest fear.
Isabella is awake but still a little shaken. She had a mild concussion but Russo is with her right now, taking care of her.

Surely. Alessia should know better than to go out at night in this critical time. Just one day in her new apartment and this fucking happens!! We’ve equipped her house with every modernized security gadget and something as dangerous as this still happens?

I snapped back to reality when I saw her eyes slowly flutter open. She stutters as she u

1 had to bring her back to her new apartment because it was closer to the bar. I’ll have a word soon with the so–called bodyguard.
I walked over to her, pulling her body into mine, hugging her close. She immediately responds by burying herself into my chest. “Don’t talk, it’s okay.” I kiss her head while carefully playing with her hair. “I’m here now.”
I couldn’t bring myself to scold her when she was in this fragile state.
We stayed like that for hours until she fell asleep again but I still didn’t move away. I couldn’t bring myself to leave her alone right now, When the woke up, I stood up still not letting go of her.

“Do you want me to make you something?” I asked.
She nods, with a hint of a smile on her face.
I placed her on the sofa closest to the kitchen and pulled a blanket over her along with several cushions to make her feel wrapped up.

Chapter 79
I’d do right about anything for her at this point,
She thinks about it for a second then she confirms with a subtle nod of her head. I picked her up and carried her over to her room again. I set her down on the bed while I turned on the water in her bathtub. After making sure it was the right temperature, I added some oils and lit some candles and whatever else I found in her bathroom to make her feel as comfortable as ever.
I walked back into the room to see Alessia still sitting in the same spot I left her in, not moving an inch. I walked her into the bathroom.

I kissed her forehead. “Tell me when you’re finished. Yeah?”
I thought about staying with her in the bathroom but I still don’t trust myself around her. Looking at how pretty her face is alone gets me hard, much less looking at her naked body.
An hour and a half later, we were both lying on her bed and she managed to somehow bury her entire body in my chest. We’re both lying on our sides, facing each other. I have one arm around her waist. I’m so close to her that her fresh scent fills my nose.
All of a sudden, she flinched, sitting straight up, “Isabella- Isa….is she okay?”
I bring her back to my chest. “Isabella’s okay. She’s just in a mini shock but Russo is taking care of her. Don’t move, amore, Just let me hold you”
We stayed like that, snuggled up. My eyes closed slowly after I saw her slowly drift away to sleep. Under her breath, I heard her mumble something Something so silent I couldn’t tell if I heard her right..

No. I couldn’t have heard her right. It must be the panic talking or maybe I just didn’t hear her correctly. My eyes quickly cleared up of any sleep as 1 lay there wide awake staring up at the ceiling in shock at what I definitely must’ve misheard.
Slowly, I pulled my hand away from her and crawled out of the bed, heading out of the house. I don’t want to have to be in a situation where she wakes up and I have to confront her about what she said.
