Chapter 218
After Thomas left, Silas drove Ivy home.
It had been a long day, and Thomas’s presence had only made it worse.

Silas couldn’t wrap his head around everything Rosie had done. And that same gnawing force drove him to visit her in jail the next day.
Rosie had been placed in a more secure facility. Silas had to undergo several security procedures before he was finally led to a white room where she sat, handcuffed to the table.
“I knew you were the first brother to come see me,” she said, laughing.
He looked at her in the ugly orange outfit.
He dragged the chair opposite her and sat down. “How are you?”
“Great. What do you want?”
Silas leaned forward, still keeping a bit of distance. “Why, Rosie?”
She chuckled. “What part exactly?”
“Everything,” he said, controlling the anger stirring in his chest.
“I really don’t know where to start, Si.”
His blood boiled at the casualness in her tone, but he stayed composed. She was behind bars. She had already lost. Reacting would only feed her ego.
“Let’s start with why you decided to ruin my family,” he said firmly.
“Thomas. I already said it before,” she said flatly. “Anything else?”
“How did you get the money?”
“My cousin has a hacker friend. I used him. Paid him. Anything else?” she asked, her mouth twisting.
Silas raised a brow. “Who’s your cousin? And who’s the hacker?”
“Since when did you join the police force?” she teased, her eyes glinting with mischief.
Silas’s jaw clenched. “You’re already behind bars, Rosie. There’s nothing to hide.”
She leaned in closer, the mischief deepening. “Then show me your badge, Officer Silas Stone.”
Her mocking tone got to him, and he shot to his feet.
“Leaving so soon already? I thought you had more questions, officer,” she mocked, her voice rising.
Anger surged, and this time he couldn’t hold it back. “I’m so glad you’ve been caught. I hope you’re never released again. I hope you rot in here.”
His tone was harsh, but he didn’t care.
Rosie’s eyes flickered with shock before she masked it with indifference. “You never asked how I knew you were at the parking lot.”
Silas froze, caught off guard.
“Well, since you didn’t ask, I guess I’ll keep it to myself,” she said with teasing laughter.
Anger flared in his chest again, and he turned toward the door. “Bye forever, Rosie.”
“It was Tyler!” she shouted behind him. “Tyler is my cousin.”
Silas paused, turning back slowly. “What?”
“Who do you think made him apply as your PA after the girl left?” she asked, her eyes darkening.

Silas’s eyes widened, shock rippling through him. He didn’t wait for more confirmation–her eyes said everything.
He walked briskly to the metal door.
“Don’t bother looking for him,”

Silas ignored her and made his way out. After passing through a series of security checks, he pulled out his phone and dialed David Spence.
David answered immediately. “Hey, Silas.”
“I need you to find someone for

“Okay. I’ll be expecting it,” David said before ending the call.
Just as Silas slid into his car, his phone rang again. Bailey was calling.

Silas racked his brain, trying to understand why Bailey was at the hospital, but nothing came to mind.
His phone rang again, and he answered. “Hey,” he said softly.“”

Bailey hesitated, then nodded. “Five minutes,” she said, walking away without even looking

Ivy waited in the hospital, but Silas never showed up. Theresa lay on the bed with a smile on her face.
“Thank you, Ivy,” she said.
“You’re welcome,” Ivy replied, squeezing her hand gently.
“It’s over,” Theresa said, closing her eyes. “As much as it sucks that I lost it… I’m relieved. I’m finally done with Wills.”
Ivy felt a pang in her chest at the pain in Theresa’s voice. But she heard relief too.
Before she could respond, the door opened, and Hector walked in.
“Oh baby,” Theresa whispered, crashing into his open arms.
They stayed there a long while. When Ivy realized Theresa was crying, she quietly left the room.
Her phone rang. It was Aunt May.
Since she had nothing else to do, she picked up.
“Hey, Ivy,” May said gently. “How are

“I was at the restaurant… wanted to show support until… How are you really feeling?”

“Yeah,” Ivy said. “Take care, ma’am.” She ended the call.
Ivy sighed as pain coursed through her. The day had been crazy, and she just wanted it to end.
Realizing Hector wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon, she booked a ride home. Just as she arrived, her phone buzzed with a message:
“I don’t need you, Ivy Stone. I caught Rosie and that’s enough story for me. Have a great life.”

ívy hissed and slipped the phone into her bag. She leaned toward the driver. “Thanks,” she said and The evening air felt like a small relief. It felt good to finally be free.
She entered her bedroom and found Silas sobbing.

Her heart dropped. “Baby? What’s wrong?”
She rushed to him and he melted into her arms. Her stomach knotted as she rubbed his back.
“It’s Thomas and Uncle Mike.”
Then he told her everything.
Ivy went through every emotion. Shock. Hurt. Disbelief. She could only keep rubbing his back.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered. “Who would have thought… Uncle Mike?”

Silas stiffened in her arms as he wiped his face. “My brother sacrificed himself for me. And I… pushed him away.”
The knot in her stomach tightened. They sat in silence, neither knowing what to say.
“Have you told everyone else?” Ivy asked after sometime.
“No, Silas replied. “I don’t know how.”

Chapter 218
Ivy’s thoughts drifted. Rosie’s destruction had only been surface level. The hurt ran deeper.
“Andrew’s still unresponsive. Theresa is grieving. I don’t even know where Aria is. How am I supposed to…”
She pulled him close and kissed him. “We’ll all get through this.”
He kissed her back, softer than usual.
“I have a lot to process,” he said, straightening up. “I don’t know how to move forward, but I know one thing, I’m definitely buying Thomas’s business when the FBI are done.”
Ivy’s stomach clenched. A wave of nausea hit her.
Before she could control her, she gagged. She ran to the bathroom, throwing up.
When she returned, Silas looked at her, his eyes wide.
“What?” she asked, her heart pounding.
“When was the last time you had your period?” he asked.
Avy touched her stomach, thinking. “I don’t know.”
Silas’s eyes swelled
up
with tears again, but this time he was laughing. “You’re pregnant!” he cried, rushing to her.
He picked her up and spun her around. Despite her shock, she laughed, excitement bubbling inside her.
“I’m going to be a dad,” he whispered, his voice breaking.
You are,” she said, her heart full.
She collapsed into his arms.
“Our new beginnings,” he said, kissing her forehead.
“Our new beginnings,” she echoed, smiling through tears.
Silas gently cupped her stomach, his eyes shining with joy. “I love you.”
“I love you, baby.”
Despite the pain and uncertainty of the future, Ivy knew one thing for sure.
Life was about to get better.
