David barely managed to stifle a laugh. Classic Janie. He found her bluntness more refreshing every time.
Jason paused, then laughed, “Talent, huh? Well, maybe you could teach me sometime?”
Before Janie could respond, Jackson cut in with his signature cool detachment. “She just told you–it’s talent. And if you don’t have it, what’s the point? Besides, Janie doesn’t waste her time teaching.”
Jason’s smile faltered as he struggled to hide his irritation. Inside, his mind raced with insults for jackson.
Jason thought, Who does Jason think he is? They’re not even blood–related. What’s with his obsession?”
Emily chimed in quickly. “Jason, come on, that was a bit bold.”
Jason shrugged. I couldn’t help it. Janie’s performance was just that impressive.”
[Janie’s Talent” response is legendary. She’s just better. Period.]
[Jackson needs to relax. We get it, you’re protective. Chill, dude.]
Jason is dying inside, and I’m living for it. Jackson shut him down so hard.]
Zion’s brow furrowed, clearly unhappy with how the conversation was going.
Ryan smiled sincerely, saying, “Janie, you really are talented. If there’s ever a chance, I’d love to discuss music with you.
Ryan had also achieved success in music, so saying such things was quite normal.
Xena seized the moment to join in, her smile plastered on. “Yes, same here! I’ve studied music for years. It would be great to exchange ideas”
Janie couldn’t be bothered to spare them a glance.
Jackson leaned back in his chair, he wasn’t about to humor them either.
The tension thickened, and the air felt heavy with awkwardness.
David broke the moment with a hearty laugh, “Janie’s incredible. Honestly, I’m not even in the same league, I wouldn’t dream of exchanging ideas–just learning from her is enough for me.”
