Jackson couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
David joined in, chuckling. “Yeah, you guys are being too bossy”
When David, the most respected and accomplished of these people, spoke, their expressions changed noticeably.
Molly felt a bit embarrassed and said, “Sorry about that; I’ll try to learn more.”
Jason managed a smile and admitted, “I was thoughtless, I shouldn’t have acted like this.”
Ryan and Emily looked unhappy and kept silent.
Xena seemed a little awkward as she said, “Honestly, I don’t know anything about chores and I’m clumsy. I’m worried I won’t be able to do well.”
She turned to Janie with a hopeful tone, asking, Janie, would you be willing to teach me?”
Janie paused for a moment before responding. “Sorry, I can’t,”
Xena’s spirits sank at this response as she muttered, “You’re right. I’m so stupid.”
Ryan frowned slightly and directed his gaze toward Xena.
Jackson maintained his silence. After a brief pause, he spoke coldly. “If you’re aware that you’re not the most capable person here, why do you continue to impose on others in this manner?”
Xena bit her lip. Her fondness for Jackson evaporated instantly.
Frowning further, Ryan interjected. “Jackson, you’ve misunderstood Xena”
Jackson replied nonchalantly, “Well,”
Janie’s patience was wearing thin. She even began to regret attending this show.
Attempting to maintain her composure while speaking, she said. “We got to hurry.
David suggested, “We could divide into groups. I’ll team up with Janie and Jackson.”
Unconsciously, Jackson glanced at David, who returned a smile.
Emily grew anxious and stated half–jokingly, “How can that be? David, you’re the one I invited here. You can’t leave me.”
David’s smile became strained in response.
Jackson’s expression reflected his displeasure as he said, “It’s easy. I’ll be in a group with Janic. You can team up with the people you invited. Let’s form our respective groups and do our own meals.”
This approach was indeed straightforward and reasonable.
Most people here were new to cooking and reluctant to start.
They seemed more interested in receiving benefits without working.
Janie nodded in agreement.
With a hint of frustration, Ryan remarked, “Then it’s settled.”

Janie then asked. “Can I head to my room to get settled?”
Mr. Wilker chimed in. ‘Okay, everyone can go to your room with the staff’s help”
Janie turned to Jackson and said, “I go then”
Jackson thought for a second before suggesting, “Let me help you with the suitcase”
Janie nodɗed right away, saying “Thank you”
Jackson happily grabbed the suitcase and followed behind her with a big smile.
Xena’s expression darkened as she couldn’t help but wonder about their relationship.
[I used to think Xena was cute; now she’s just getting on my nerves! Ugh, it’s so frustrating! She’d better quit!]
