Now Lilith felt it–pure, bitter regret. If she’d known Brielle had already rejected the mate bond, she never would’ve stirred the pot.
Too bad.
y was volcanic. And she was standing right in the blast zone.
“You lying snake. Did you really think you fooled me? I never stayed at that hotel. My Beta drov me home. The guy in your bed wasn’t me.”
Lilith froze.
Her voice cracked. “No… that night—it was you. You were all over me. You wouldn’t stop. I even drugged—”
Her voice cracked off. Color drained from her face. “Wait, no. I didn’t mean that. Caden, just let me explain-”
Caden’s laugh sliced through the air.
“So you admit it. You drugged me, hoping to make it real. Too bad, Lilith. That guy? Wasn’t me.”
He clapped twice.
The door creaked open–and in stalked a massive, scar–faced wolf. His eyes zeroed in on Lilith’s belly.

“I heard you’re carrying my pup.”
Lilith screamed, clutching her stomach as she scrambled back.
“No! I’m not! You’ve got the wrong wolf!”
But the footage said otherwise. Her lies couldn’t cover it now.
The wolf sneered. “Too good for me now? Didn’t sound like that when you were crawling into my bed. We’ve got a pup on the way–and you’re not going anywhere.”
His hand cracked across her face. Her cheek flared red.
Lilith shrieked, collapsing to the floor.
