Chapter 10
Ron and I kept moving, city after city, never slowing down.
Two years later, we hit the Moonhowl Pack’s territory–and ran straight into Caden.
He looked wrecked. Like life had chewed him up and spit him out.
The fire in his eyes? Gone.
“Brielle… long time,” he said, voice dull. Then he looked at Ron, like he wanted to ask -but didn’t.
I didn’t give him the chance. I lifted Ron’s hand, showing off our mate rings.
“This is my mate, Ron Ravencross.”
Then I turned to Ron. “Caden Fellhart. The Alpha of Moonhowl.‘
Caden flinched. “Not Alpha anymore,” he muttered, voice rough.
He’d passed the title to his little brother. Spent his days ghosting through life.
I was ready to leave when he dropped it—
“Brielle… I dreamed of our past life too.”
I froze mid–step.
He kept talking.

“When I woke up, I couldn’t breathe. I was already breaking, but that dream? It shattered me. After you died, I realized how much I loved you. I didn’t stay with Lilith.”
Tears spilled down his face.

“I sent her away. And then… I ended it. At your grave. Didn’t last much longer after you were gone.”
For a second, the memories hit like claws–sharp, deep, bloody.
