Chapter 274

Alexander’s voice was laced with biting sarcasm.

“Even if Father hears about today’s little performance, it won’t make a difference.”

“This is nothing but childish nonsense.”

“How could he ever pose a threat to me?” His words carried the weight of absolute certainty.

With his current influence and wealth, Alexander knew he could dominate Ontdale even without the Kingsley Group.

But the Kingsley Group was his mother’s legacy, and he would never let anyone take it from him.

As for his neglectful father—despite holding shares—Alexander was certain Richard wouldn’t dare challenge him directly.

Releasing Victoria’s wrist, Alexander wiped his fingers with deliberate disdain, as if brushing off something filthy.

In that moment, he bore an eerie resemblance to Isabella.

Both shared the same deep-seated disgust for anything repulsive.

“And as for that racing incident and that pathetic kidnapping attempt—whoever orchestrated it better be prepared for the consequences,” Alexander said, his voice sharp as a blade.

“Right now, this is the Kingsley family’s territory.”

“We don’t tolerate certain… undesirables here.”

His expression turned icy, his voice ringing with authority.

“James, escort them out!”

At Alexander’s command, James immediately signaled the bodyguards stationed outside. He had held his tongue long enough, and now, his barely restrained loathing for the audacious mother and son was palpable.

“Mrs. Kingsley, I suggest you leave voluntarily before we remove you for trespassing,” James warned.

The bodyguards closed in, their presence radiating intimidation.

Victoria stood frozen, speechless.

She had hoped to see Alexander falter, but she hadn’t anticipated his outright refusal to even feign politeness.

Not only had he nearly crushed her wrist, but now he was openly ordering them to leave!

Humiliated and seething, Damian forced himself to stand, ready to retaliate.

“Who dares to throw us out? I’m the second son of the Kingsley family! If you—”

He didn’t get to finish.

With a dismissive flick of Alexander’s hand, the bodyguards surrounded him.

“Second son of the Kingsley family?” Alexander’s sneer cut through the air.

“You have the audacity to claim that title?”

“As long as you remain unacknowledged, you’re nothing more than a shadow beneath our feet.”

His eyes darkened as he added, “If they refuse to leave willingly, throw them out.”

“Right away, sir.”

Without hesitation, the bodyguards activated their stun guns, the crackling sound filling the room.

Even Julian, usually composed and gentle in appearance, twirled a scalpel between his fingers, a chilling grin spreading across his face.

“Don’t worry, you won’t die here.”

“I’m generous. I’ll make sure you walk out alive.”

Victoria and Damian froze in terror.

They had never expected Isabella to have such a ruthless ally in the medical field.

“You—you’re all insane!” Damian stammered, his voice trembling as he instinctively backed away.

Victoria, scrambling to regain her composure, added, “We’ll leave on our own. But Alexander, if you think you can show your true colors today, be prepared for Richard’s wrath!”

“Finished with your empty threats?” Alexander asked dryly.

Victoria’s expression tightened.

She hadn’t anticipated Alexander’s unapologetic defiance.

Seeing the bodyguards’ unwavering resolve, she quickly helped Damian to his feet, and they limped toward the exit.

Damian, still clinging to his pride, shouted, “You’ll regret this!”

But the moment the bodyguards took a step forward, he bolted, running like a man fleeing his own shadow.
