I accompanied Luke to the infirmary,
There was a bruise on his shoulder, clearly showing that Parker hadn’t held back.

If it had really hit me, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
“Are you playing basketball or fighting? No sense of control at all, the school nurse scolded. “Such a big guy, can’t even take care of yourself. Hey, you come here, apply some medicine for him.”
I nodded and came over.
The injury on his back was shocking.
“What are you staring at? Scared?”
Luke smiled carelessly: “Good thing it hit me. If it had hit you, you’d be crying, and that wouldn’t be pretty”
I applied the medicine on his back, muttering: “Shut up.”
Outside the curtain, the school nurse was treating other students.
“…What are you upset about?”
Luke’s upper body was bare.
My hand applying the medicine was shaking a bit.
He turned his head, those eyes usually full of laughter became calm:
“Aren’t you angry at how he treats you?”
I shook my head: “I’m used to it.”
“Why don’t you fight back?”
“It’s useless,” I lowered my head and gently applied the medicine, “The more I resist, the more excited he gets. He’s sick, there’s no explaining
to him. His family’s education is problematic too. If I tell on him again, he’ll get beaten, and he’ll retaliate against me even worse.”
Luke didn’t say anything.
