Kenneth was stunned. That wasn’t the answer he’d expected at all.
“So… that’s why you like Lucas?”
Wendy glanced at his skeptical expression, then gave a small, embarrassed nod.
“Yes. He’s the most outstanding man I’ve ever met. And the best–looking too. A man like that, at the top of everything–wouldn’t he be a perfect match for me?”
Hearing that, Kenneth couldn’t help but press his palm to his forehead
He was honestly starting to wonder if something was wrong with his sister’s brain.
How could she be so… dramatically idealistic?
“Alright, alright, stop with that nonsense.”
Wendy instantly pouted, displeased.
“What do you mean nonsense? I’m being serious!”
Kenneth let out a long sigh and rolled his eyes—so hard it could’ve echoed.
“Fine, fine. I don’t get it. It’s my problem, clearly.”
He rubbed his temples. Having a sister like this was exhausting.
Wendy pouted harder, her tone full of indignation.
“You’re just too idealistic. People today have to be realistic, and yes, materialistic, too! If not, then what’s the use of all those sweet, empty words? When gets cold or Pin hungry, can those words keep me warm or fill my stomach?”
Hearing that, Kenneth opened his mouth but couldn’t come up with a retort.
