Chapter 21
After I sat down, I drank a large glass of water and thought about Alexander’s cold and sinister gaze towards me just now. I still felt fear deep inside. Just thinking of that made it difficult for me to breathe.
I knew I couldn’t leave any evidence for them to get the goods on me
I got up and picked up my diary, walked out of the dormitory, and happened to see Selina rushing out of the stairwell with half of her face swollen. The dog–eat–dog show began
I didn’t call out to her and went alone to the quiet grove.
Opening the diary, I saw my love for Alexander. Flipping through two pages, I closed my eyes and then threw the diary onto the pile of stones, setting it on fire.
The flame shot up in an instant. As a gentle breeze flipped through the pages, the diary slowly burned into ashes. It seemed as if the days and nights of my unrequited love had vanished bit by bit.
Suddenly, through the ashes rising in the firelight, I saw a tall figure walking towards me. He silently looked at the diary, which was almost burnt out, his gaze cold. He walked up to me, getting closer to me step by step, and finally cornered me.

His slender fingers brushed my hair and brushed off the black ash on my face. Though his actions looked gentle, his eyes carried a hint of mockery. Didn’t you say you didn’t like me? What’s this diary all about?” he asked.
“Uncle Alexander, you misunderstood. It’s just some waste paper, which doesn’t prove anything.” I said expressionlessly, reaching out to push him away. When Alexander heard the words “waste paper,” he narrowed his eyes, slightly. Is that so?”
In the next second, under my astonished gaze, he directly reached into the fire and pulled out a small piece of paper that h completely. He glanced at the words on it, and in a deep tone, he read, “I love you.”

Alexander held this piece of blackened paper between his two fingers, appearing somewhat lazy and indifferent. The expression on his face remained unchanged, unaffected by the sentimental words on the paper.
He had always been so indifferent and heartless towards me, and I knew it. But the mockery in his eyes still made me feel suffocated. It seemed as if my past love was totally insignificant in his eyes, not even worth mentioning
In my daze, I once again beard the sigh of his wolf,PITY
What’s so pity? Is it unfortunate that you couldn’t find a way to hold something against me and make me escape from a calamity?
My shoulders trembled slightly. As I tried to suppress my inner emotions, I said calmly, “No name on it. It may not necessarily be you. It could be anyone, but it definitely can’t be you, Uncle Alexander.”
I struggled to raise my hand, but Alexander caught my wrist and pulled me in front of him. Then, he slowly leaned forward, his cold and dangerous aura enveloping me.
“Who is it? Ava, you want to run away after messing with me? Why are your thoughts so naive? Do you really think 1, an alpha, would let you go so Easily?”
