Chapter 12
Fluri pou
I’m spanked. Not once, but twicel
Twice! By a man I barely know! And to make matters worse, in the middle of all this chaos, I’m currently hanging upside down while these two grown men fight like toddlers over a loy–mic
I quickly cover my mouth, fighting the urge to puke as Darien stumbles backward, away from Lucian.
“Let me g—“I can’t finish my sentence as I gag, my eyes napping shut. Everything feels fuzzy, and the dizziness overwhelms me. But there’s another feeling rising within me–lute Intense, burning hate at the sight of Lucian. My body shakes uncontrollably as that hatred courses through me, like a wildfire I can’t put out.
“Tve never seen you this angry before, Damien taums Lucian. “It’s a rare sight compared to your usual composed self. But I have to admit, I do love seeing you react like this.”
To my surprise, I hear Lucian’s angry voice cut through the tension. “Let her go, or make you regret the day you were ever born.”
The threat hangs in the air and I stiffen, but Damien speaks up again. “You keep forgetting one thing. Lucian The girl you are asking for is my
mate
I can feel everyone’s gaze on me, but I can’t bring myself to look up. From where I am, I can’t see Lucian or Damien, but I’m painfully aware of the group of men—and the woman from the room eacher—standing directly in front of me. Their eyes keep darting between me, Lucian, and Damien, as if they’re watching some absurd spectacle. And let’s not forget Damien had the audacity to spank me in front of all of them. My face burns with humiliation, and I can already feel is turning red
“Than girl is a criminal in my pack. Her crime is severe, and I demand her release so she can be properly punished, Lucian finally speaks, breaking through the silence as his voice carries the usual calmness he’s known for.
1 clench my hands into fists, a mocking smile spreading across my lips. Persistent, isn’t he? He came all the way to the Crimson Shadow pack to capture the criminal who supposedly poisoned his mate. I had run away from him, run away from everything, but not only did he kill my child- now, he wants to drag me back and make me suffer.
Damien suddenly asks, his voice laced with a hint of amusement “What possible crime did she commit that would make an Alpha like you come all the way to bring her back? Or is there something else you’re after?”
There’s a brief silence. Lucian remaining tight–lipped. Before anyone can speak, I raise my head, locking my gaze on them. “I poisoned his new Luna”
A collective
e gasp fills the surrounding area.
Damien’s eyes widen in surprise, and before anyone can recover, he steps forward, his hands lifting me easily from his shoulder. The sudden movement catches me off guard, but I don’t resist as he carries me down, his grip firm yet strangely gentle.
I steady myself on my right foot, ignoring the pain radiating from my left, and face Lucian. For the first time in years, I catch a flicker of relief in his eyes—a look I’ve only ever seen him reserve for Liora. But now, he’s looking at me that way, as if a heavy weight has been lifted from his shoulders.
However, my expression remains cold and unyielding. The warmth that once softened my gaze is long gone, replaced by a deep, unshakable
haired.
“He is here for me because he believes that 1, the former Lama of the Moonfang Pack, poisoned his mate the current Luna,” I say, my voice steady despite the weight of every gaze lixed on me. “Alpha Lucian assumes that because he rejected me the moment my half–sister–who conveniently ran away on their wedding day–returned, I must have poisoned her out of hatred.”
Lucian frowns, his eyes locked on mine, but I smile bitterly, the memories of everything he’s put me through flashing in my mind like cruel reminders. “Isn’t that true, Alpha Lucian?”
“Elara, watch your mouth,” he warms sharply, his voice tinged with authority as murmurs and whispers ripple through the crowd around us. “Remember you’re speaking to your Alpha.”
“Alpha?” I burst out laughing at his words, and tears begin to fall from my eyes before I even realize it. I turn back to face Alpha Damien and his warriors, who watch me with confused expressions, especially Dumien. He looks at me with a serious expression, no longer the amused smirk he
“Do you know what Lucian made me do when his mate came back? He made me serve her, made me endure humiliation just to please his mate.

Chapter 12
He ignored the woman who had been with him for five years and ran to the woman who left him for another man.”
“Quiri, Elara,” Lucian growls fariously behind me, and before I know it, my hand is yanked, and I am facing his harsh glare. But I don’t stop speaking. I don’t even flinch as the tears come crashing harder.
“The worst of it all! During all that time, I was pregnant with his child, and when I was accused of poisoning his new Luna, he threw me against the wall, killing his child,” I yell, meeting his glare.
“You murdered your child, Lascian. You killed your unborn child just because you were deceived by Liora, and I will never forgive you for it. I will forever hate and curse you for it because you took everything from me, and the Moon Goddess will take everything you want, everything you own, you love and you desperately yearn for, you will lose everything Lucian. I CURSE YOU WITH THE BLOOD OF MY UNBORN CHILD THAT
STAINS YOUR HANDS
As soon as I say those words, the sky numbles withs thunder, and rain begins to fall. Lucian closes his eyes, and when they reopen, they are fully black. He growls, yanking me closer, but before any of us can react, Damien steps in between us, removing Lucian’s hand from mine. His eyes lock on Lucian with a deadly glam, and his eyes are a frightening shade of silver.
